*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Had my bank text me the code I need to verify my pulse purchase and went oos when I put the code in :(

Same here. I got caught off guard and didn't have my card. By the time I put in the details and did the verification... too late :(

But I saw in the other thread lots of folks got one. Congrats to anyone who did and isn't a bot/scalper.
Looking forward to folks showing them off in their builds!

There's more to this tweet... but seriously? The finest example of stating the stupidly obvious I've seen in a while.

so i got a nitro preorder in at around 4.30pm after 2 hours of stress, bloody gpu sales these days are a nightmare. My question is wth does preorder mean and how long is the wait? i can see its still up for preorder now, the page says eta 1-3 days for stock, is that accurate or are there now thousands of preorders? @Gibbo

Gibbo said the nitro+ was on its way (via air freight iirc) and would be available to ship within a couple of days from launch (today) so all going well through customs you probably have your card middle of next week.

Managed to get an MSRP Reaper. I went through verifying with my bank twice on a Pulse, only for it to go OOS. I couldn't have been any quicker either!

Not my first choice but I'm happy with that.

He thinks that's a profound retort to AMD's success in this launch because he is an idiot, i've been saying it for years, an idiot who acts like a man with a petulant grudge.

Manufactures Suggested Retail Price. The manufacturer, in this case AMD can only suggest a retail price, they cannot enforce it, i think AMD have been doing all they can to encourage that price.

£570 and then £630 is not AMD doing this, AMD are not on the phone to Gibbo telling him minute to minute what to price these cards at, that is OCUK doing this and AMD do not get a penny of this £60 inflated price, once again i want to emphasize they cannot enforce the £570 price.

This man is an idiot, with a grudge.

Tried to get a reaper after the pulse went oos when trying to verify but missed that as well. Not too happy they have gone up to £629, So missed the £569 because of the bank and then a price hike. I wont be getting one if there is no more £569 ones. I will just keep hold of my 3080 for another couple of years and drop the settings.

there is no point begging these companies for MSRP, the only thing and the most import thing anybody can do is DONT BUY if its above MSRP, that way they will drop the price if demand falls but unfortunately people cant control the FOMO. Like I said previously AMD should have sold bog standard MSRP priced cards on their own website to sidestep all the shops, scalpers and middle men, ect ect. If anybody wants a more fancier model and wants to pay more then they can buy those from retailers.

It's not ocuk doing it either, ocuk are reliant on rebates, which the aib's are limiting, AMD are the rebating the AIB's which I am of the understanding that AMD are limiting the amount of rebate also.

From other posts by gibbo looks like he's paying over MSRP for the cards himself.

Though maybe AMD do have control of the pricing

The only way to explain this is that the MSRP, which is set by AMD is a lie.
No, they i think originally were meant to be $650, a lot of retailers bought stock months ago, including OCUK; i have no doubt at that $650 MSRP, that's what the rebates are for and its why they are; to quote Gibbo "limited" its only to cover those GPU's bought by retailers at the original $650 MSRP, new batches would be, i think bought at the new $600 MSRP, so no need for rebates on those.
