Wish I'd tried elsewhere, but was at work and couldn't shop around so to speak, OCUK seemed my best bet, it seems many others did too! Oh well, not the end of the works I guess
 
What happened to the free DPD postage? On the first post of the thread Gibbo said to select DPD next day and this would be free for forum members. I followed those instructions but got charged £7.99 and it wasn't dispatched yesterday so I assume I won't get it now until Monday as well.

Did anyone get the free postage?

Oh. I believed only a portion of even the pulse for example were priced at MSRP. I think gibbo said there was a considerable amount more than some of the others priced at MSRP for pulse. So that lead me to assume maybe half the stock or something? And I think they only sold maybe 500 pulses or something by the sounds of it?
 
I pre ordered a Nitro+ yesterday for £699 it’s now jumped to £719 on OcUK website, might still try for a Pulse at £629 save some pennies I’m not into overclocking any more I just want to turn my PC and game with stability

Indeed.

It's really only worth it at £569.

I have no idea why people are excited to spend £700-£800 on one, even if it has a fancy cooler. This level of performance was obtainable for that price point last year.

The 9070XT doesn't look like a strong overclocker anyway, I wouldn't go for a premium model.

Not only that, the base level cards have more than enough cooling.

Cards are basically running ‘overclocked’ out of the box with modern turbo algorithms and locked down dies/drivers.

Long gone are the days of being able to overlock or even flash a lower tier card to run as fast as the next one up.

It basically comes down to the silicon lottery these days.

There was a link above with requirements, if your account was new it had to have certain amount of comments same for old account. I think that's why it didn't show for me, I read the posts so haven't interacted here, as you can see from my account, it took one card launch to make me do it ahah
 
would have been nice to have a separate landing page for some 9070xt cards linked only in the MM so at least we have a chance of buying a card,im not doing what i did yesterday and trying from 2pm until past 10pm last night just to get my card in my basket only to go OOS by scalpers.

being loyal sucks when its not reciprocal, and i should have just bought one where i could.

Had the same happen to me, so put in a ticket asking for a refund on the shipping fee :)

Exactly. The premiums being charged for the top end cards these days is insanity.

Overclocking GPUs these days is barely worth it and even the base level aib coolers are often very good.
