What watch do you wear?

They’ve come down somewhat but they’re still daft. I’ve been saving for one for ages so finally thought ‘if not now then when?’ and pulled the trigger. I think I’m done now tho :D

Got this PRT-60 along with another very similar one in a lot of 10 faulty watches from Japan, didn't need much to get it working and cleaned up.

The auto light feature is cool, and also the fact it has a barometric pressure sensor. Temperature sensor (kinda daft as it seems to be affected when against skin) and altimeter are nice to play with too.

It's got a cool leather strap (unusual on casio!), and also it seems to be a custom model "birdlife" model with a penguin in the backlight!

It's gone straight into the daily circulation :)

Just got my C8 back from service from Christopher Ward. I sent it away naked.

Came back in a very nice bamboo case and free rubber strap. Brilliant service, really impressed.

I have a similar one and yes, the thermometer function is only useful if you leave it detached for sufficient time.

Also worth noting that you have to constantly calibrate the altimeter function against a datum as it's the same sensor as the barometer. So if the pressure changes but you're static, the altimeter will suggest you've changed altitude. I can't say I've found it useful at all, at least in UK use.

I'm currently at -70 m sitting at my desk :D (calibrated a few months ago, so not the most fair, but broadly demonstrates my point)

Got the Pelagos back with what looks like a new bezel (half of the 0 minute lume pip fell out). Came with a nice Tudor travel pouch in a nice Rolex case :D

Oddly, they didn't call or email to say it was done. Still, nice to have it back.

I've just received the newly launched Casio G-Shock 'Fine Metal' models today.

GM-5600YMG-9ER
GM-2100YMG-9AER

These have a metal bezel & case but with a special deigned silicone band, which has the polished look of metal with the soft feel of silicone.

Said I was done, but the original G-Shock was a gap in my arsenal.

Gw-5000u-1er
Way more supple strap, global radio auto time setting (never have to set), UK or global date month options, solar powered from sun or interior light and the 3495 module. Also metal screw cashback, built like a tank, a nicely weighted feel better than my other G-Shock.
