The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

To check, is this with the Aorus Elite? I'm quite unsatisfied with mine on a temps and fan perspective, it's always pegged at about 62 degrees in TLOU or Arma with pretty aggressive fan speeds (45%+). Hotspot is 90, VRAM temps is 95.

Haven't done any undervolting yet, reviews for this card remarked on how wonderfully quiet and cool it is, but my experience is pretty much the opposite, it has the thermal profile of a much cheaper card, not the £750 super duper model.

Preformance is absolutely stellar however, so my opinion is really mixed on this specific model
Yeah that's the card I got never seen it above 60 with a 50% max fan speed setting. Case cooling fine? Warm room? Undervolting should help reduce those temp.

I will 100% be returning it tho, as you say its a super duper model, but man the RGB lights are underwhelming, and the rgb rings under the fans are very unpleasant to look at, plus its black in my full white build. Just going to use it for a month and hope my 5090 Aorus master Ice turns up!

I spent a little time tweaking my steel series 9070xt, very pleased with the resuslts. Still can't beleive how quiet this card is!
24886 in Time Spy!
Ooh can you share your tweaks please? I've just compared my score to you and can see you're grabbing around 2k more score on the graphics score compared to me (running the same GPU as you) so might see how closely I can mirror it.

I gave in and bought a 9070 XT Pulse for £629 despite knowing that my son's 7900 XT was serving his needs perfectly well. I just wanted an excuse to tinker with a new toy.

9070 XT Pulse (stock)
GPU 60c
Hot Spot 85c
Mem 86c
312w

Just for reference for anyone thinking the 9070 XT is “too hot”.

RTX 4080FE stock
GPU 80c
Hot Spot 98c
VRAM 78c
305w

I am perfectly happy that both my 4080 FE and 9070 XT Pulse are running within spec.

Everyone with a Sapphire Pulse, how are noise levels? I have a EVGA 2070 Super and at times it really fires up the fans loud and its annoying. I will be upgrading soon to a 9070XT hopefully when in stock and a AM5 9800X3D.

I spent an hour last night fitting my new 9070 XT Pulse in NR200p case.
First time I had to dismantle whole bottom of the case in order to fit it in!
Its is soooo tight, that only 1cm is left when its in, but you have to stretch the sides to push it in.

It is huge upgrade for me, from RTX3070 to 9070XT.
Sample, Dead Space, 4K gaming:
- 3070 card - DLSS performance, RT off, all settings High - average 30fps.
- 9070XT card - DLSS off, RT on (!), all settings ULTRA (!) - average 70fps !!!!

My settings are:
-110 UV
2750 mem
10 power limit

I have also put the fan curve to 50% when hitting 60c, not sure if that hekps but thought I'd include :)

Finally got around to replacing my 3070FE with the 9070XT Pulse. Had to move the front fan up to fit it in and it may be me imagining it but the whole system seems a lot noisier at idle now, might be time to get a new bigger case and hand this down to the kids along with the 3070. I keep checking the pulse fans are off and cpu and case fans are still around 900 rpm as it seems too loud!

Sidegrade Nitro+ XT due in around an half an hour. Removing my Red Devil XTX that has done me proud for over 2 years. Forgot how big it was!

Impressive, but how are you keeping the temps so low! My Aorus Elite hits 62 to 63 degrees at stock settings, hell even Time Spy Extreme with locked 100% fan speed is averaging 50 degrees at stock, tempted to return it as it feels a bit too warm for such an expensive 9070 XT Variant

Time Spy Extreme (Stock everything except Aorus Elite is locked at 100% Fan speed)

While I'm at it:

1.) Gigabyte
2.) XT
3.) Aorus Elite
4.) 12/03/25
Just ran Time Spy Extreme again.

Ambient 19C
Cpu stock
Ram no XMP or OC
GPU stock with 100% fans.

3DMark indicates 39C and GPUZ 43C

Still being new to AMD, I've got Fluid Mothon Frames 2.1 enabled but I've heard in the past of the Lossless scaing app you can get on Steam. Has anyone compared both with the 9070 and XT models? No upscaling, just frame gen enabled.
