Better optics, brighter displays
Adjustable IPD.
Customizable Faceplate
Optional Eyetracking
Optional Halo strap with silicone visor.

£1099 Base model
£1249 with Eye tracking.

About £1400 if you add the halo strap and audio strap.

Still wired, still needs base stations and Index controllers.

Available now for preorder and shipping in a few weeks. They even offer a discount to existing Bigscreen owners and a free upgrade to those who bought one recently.

This looks very good, expensive, but good. Finally might have something worth using instead of my Quest Pro for PCVR and watching movies.

Will wait for the reviews though!

not sure how i feel about the marketting blerb.

glad the ipd measurememnt was pointed out on the lens.

i'll wait to see other reviews to confirm how good / bad the god rays glare ect is

i dont like the led front lights.

our buddy?

whats interesting about the upgrade kit option is its only in $ by the looks of it. so us only?
but £1,288.00 isnt exactly cheap, but for the enutheast its well worth it. (with universal-fit light seal & halo mount)

Came straight here after the Optimum Tech video popped up on my feed. Best in class lenses and subjectively bigger FoV than Q3. Would love to try one, which now they have an adjustable IPD may be possible. Anyone ordering?

I might get one later on in the year, but only after Norm from Tested has reviewed it, and only if there's no Deckard on the horizon. Would suck to get this only for Valve to release something massively better, apart from of course the small form factor.

Looks ace if form factor is a priority, it's not for me plus I don't like messing around with lighthouses (although tbf for simming they aren't much of a pain imo).

So for me to get the full kit would be £1500 approx as I'd also need prescription lenses.
And I already have the base stations and controllers!
You can't even buy the Index controllers right now. How long are the base stations and index controllers going to be manufactured for if the Deckard ditches SteamVR tracking?

Shame they didn’t add an option for inside-out tracking.

It's DOA without it

The idea of this device is its size and ease of use, except it's not easy because you need fixed place external tracking stations, which means you may as well have a cheaper and better image quality bigger headset

But that's gaming, I reckon most VR gamers are buying quest headsets, not this overpriced thing so maybe tracking doesn't matter

This is selling pretty well. They sold more in the first 3 hours than they sold Bigscreen 1 in the first month.

The reviewers think it's pretty special, possibly the best wired headset. I'd love to see what 3D movies look like in this.

How long are valve going to be making the lighthouses? if deckard is inside out then I can't see valve being bovered to make them anymore.

That's a point I made earlier. HTC are still making the lighthouses, but the controllers are an issue.

ShiftVR are making a more standard Quest button layout Steam VR controller which should be releasing this year.

EDIT: Got the price wrong. $300 for the pair! Similar to the Pro controllers, ouch!
