They are 'M' style caps. I am often tempted by getting them on my M2, as they didn't come from the factory with them. However, I am regularly put off the temptation when I see a 116d with them fitted.

I guess it's like the E36 M3 mirror craze in the 90s? I'm happy with the normal mirrors on my LCI M2. Not really a fan of the winged ones
Does anyone know the UK spark plug intervals for a G01 X3 M40i? I had an older version of the engine and it was every 3rd oil service but can't seem to find any documentation from googling, mainly just american service schedules - The car doesn't list it in Idrive.
Was on the third service on my 2018 X3 M40i.
Thanks, from the service history it looks like mine were changed around the 6 year mark but when I've booked a service the dealer say its now due at 60k(which would also be the 2nd oil service not 3rd)

Has bmw customer service turned to utter crap again? AU warranty may have expired but nobody is able to confirm whether my car was supplied with 1 or 2 years whether at dealer or corporate level. I've tried emailing, calling even an in person visit. Had no renewal notice through like I used to receive.
Book it in for something guess they will soon find out

I can't remember exactly but I think I remember having to call after the AUC warranty expired to hop onto the insured warranty.
As long as it is within 3 months of the AUC warranty expiring you will still get the discount.
I got a letter through the post with a PIN when my AUC came to an end.

I'll need to check but I thought it was every other oil service, so 4 years. I've just had my second oil service so I'll check the invoice...
Honestly, I confused myself when looking into it, there seems to be multiple thoughts on it.
It's really quite annoying how difficult it is to find any published confirmation anywhere as to what the schedule is. I had always assumed it was every other oil service and that's what I booked and had carried out.
If I get a quote for a pay monthly service plan on the BMW site the second service at 4 years/40k does include spark plugs. The third service is only oil and microfilter? Why would this be if the interval on the spark plugs is every third oil service?
