Gangs of London - fans of The Raid and Banshee in here

When Elliot had the chat about
the chip he got from Sean with all the documents on
I thought hey up is this going to basically be the same as S1 but with Alexander instead of Sean then
he jumped over the railing splat
so I then thought maybe not. :)

Only got up to the bit where
Marian Wallace appears and all I`m thinking was isnt she dead did I miss something ? :)
so I havent really got an opinion on S2 yet.

Yes, S2 was disappointing. It just stumled along with periods of violence with very little storyline in between. I fear that we will just get more of the same in S3.

Just finished watching it. Was ok enjoyed the token "Raid" scenes with a little twist but the whole S2 was just for the end scene round the table. To setup that final scene. Almost as if they did S2 and S3 back to back. Definitely a Matrix 2 season.

I’m 3 episodes into the first season of this and not quite sure on it. By all accounts, it looks like it should be epic and quite up my street but I’m not engrossed.

What’s the thoughts, worth proceeding with?

I couldn’t gel with Joe Cole’s posh accent.

KIN is good for drug/gangster stuff, and it’s based in Ireland which is a decent change from the norm.

Yep.

I tried it when it first came out and like you it seemed like a slow burner so I gave up after 2 episodes. I've gone back recently and I'm nearly at the end of season 1 and loving it

I enjoyed both seasons.
I wasn't expecting a believeable documentary on London gangs. I expected a fun ride that took a few liberties to provide entertainment and it delivered.

Watching S3. They turned up the blood, realistic birthing scenes (including death by umbilical cord), fast travel, the ability to escape from inescapable scenes and the ability to know where people are at all times to 11. It's so stupid but we're slightly hooked.

Watched first episode of s3 and glad they've gone back to the s1 style of fights / violence, shows that actual stunt people are doing them again.
