Gangs of London - fans of The Raid and Banshee in here

episode 1 so far ... this would have shamed a slasher movie ... the London ambiance was nice -
but the violence was just over the top, signalled, to the point of parody
.... we were meant to believe the, bit diminutive coloured guy, was, really able to overcome all comers,
felt a bit SJW with the surprising bame component of the gangs. ... I'm not going to relate to the characters like Gommorah

Watched all of this yesterday as someone cut through internet cable and cut our town off, Enjoyed it though it did get lazy with some choices towards the end, the opening scene was good and different from most shows. I do wonder how s2 will pan out.

CG on the guns looked bad for the caravan scene and the blood splats felt really out of place.

2 down ...
- The Krays would definitely be sueing for copyright - Who loves you, eh? That's right, Mummy
- developing formula, of a gruesome death at the start - but the censor must have thought original plan was beyond the pale

I have to ask, how many full-stop keys do you get through in a year?

I also have to ask:

bit diminutive coloured guy

"Coloured"? Really?

Ok - yes I do need to adopt bame then, the alternative pc verbosity (person of colour) takes too long to type.

how many full-stop
An ellipsis (plural: ellipses) is a series of - in our case and typically - 3 dots that usually indicates an intentional omission of a word, sentence, or whole section from a text without altering its original meaning. It may also imply an unstated meaning within the proper context.
ok I used 4 dots in one place, but a group of three dots is an ellipsis ?

Very amused by some peoples obsession with buzzwords like "woke", seems if anything stars a women or anything other than pasty white males, its a "sjw" "woke" fest

Presumably Alien and Aliens are the wokest films every . Who knew Ridley Scott and James Cameron were so "sjw"

Bloody incels ( christ I'm at it now with the buzzwords )

Watched 1st and 2nd episodes (although I didn't give the 2nd episode my full attention) and must say I'm not that interested hence only half watching the 2nd episode, nothing really grabs me and don't find it that great don't know if to actually finish the series or just give up.

Overall I enjoyed the show but I'm still trying to figure out what the hell it was all about! I thought the plot was bonkers, way over the top in places and some of the strands that contributed to the overall story made absolutely no sense to me - especially the ending!

Yeah, agree with all of that! I still enjoyed it. Not sure if they're doing a second season, no idea what they'd do with it if they did.

Wasn't expecting Sean to get killed. I liked his character, a bit more complex than the rest.

I’m usually all over this type of show but I really couldn’t get into this. The lead actor wasn’t right for the role but even ignoring that I just didn’t get what was going on half the time

Just started season one. Tell me this gets better? The main character (the son, gang leader) is awful....close to ruining this for me already. Not convincing at all (acting, accent, character).
I was of the same opinion, but I stayed with it and really enjoyed parts of it, some of the set pieces are great. But that character is awful and some of the episodes are a little lacklustre.
