The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Managed to get my Pulse running at -95mV which has helped gain me a few frames.
I'm at -75mV, with 2764MHz VRAM (fast timings) and, up to last night, +10% PL. I shifted the power limit back to 0% and it was a case of gained a little, lost a little between different benchmarks compared with +10% - but quieter as the fans didn't go as high as often, plus it uses less power overall. Will need to try -ve PL settings now. :)

Finally caved in and bought an Asus prime OC 9070 xt. Feel a little gouged on the price of £713, but it's being delivered tomorrow. Anyone else have this model?

I'll claw back a couple of hundred selling my 3070 FE hopefully.

Its good to see the PC game community alive and kicking!

Time to ditch the Nvidia and go red. Please excuse the colour scheme, it wasn't changed since the RTX 3090 FE.

Great bit of engineering this card btw, performance aint bad either.

Good to see you all too.

Frame gen only works properly when you're at say 90 fps+, not at say 30 where the latency is awful.
So basically useless as 90 fps+ is fine anyway.

Why? it's free frames and it looks amazing

Edit: I mean FSR4 not FG

I was talking more about FSR4,the card is fast enough so I don't have to use FG
But not fast enough that you don't have to use upscaling?

I think that's sort of what annoys me with the fake resolution stuff, rather than giving us better hardware AMD and Nvidia gave us a slight hardware improvement and then just hyped a software improvement and everyone seems pleased about this. It also seems to mean Debs can now not worry about optimising stuff if they just sort this software feature so everyone can just play at a lower resolution instead.
What are we going to be doing with DLSS5 and FSR4, rendering a game at 480p and upscaling to 4K or 8K?

RT is at least trying to improve the visuals, whether or not it always succeeds but currently the performance impact is pretty large.

Hey question do you think ill get away with a 650 watt psu for a 9070xt .

If it’s a decent gold standard one it will be fine. I have a 9070 XT pulse with 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 6000, 2x NVMe drives all powered with an EVGA 650w gold PSU.

I've still not used the fake resolution stuff or the fake frames stuff. Or RT for that matter.
Me neither.

Will have a look a FSR4 via optiscaler with RT in Cyberpunk after I finish my first (yes, first) play through.

My non XT is happily chomping through that as is at 1440p ultra.

If I start tinkering now I'd also start chucking mods at it and get distracted and probably not finish the game.

I do think upscaler stuff gets overhyped, at least for me at 1440p. I had a 5070ti recently, so gave DLSS 4 a whirl (coming from 'only' having FSR 2/3/XESS on AMD) and it was... fine. Sorted some of the shimmery stuff but not like a big bump up in res or detail. Think it's most interesting for extending the life of older cards or lowering your energy little by a bit.
