Power supply for 7800x3d and 9070?

Hi all,

I have a 850 corsair PSU - is this enough to power a Radeon 9070 and a 7800x3d?

Also I'm planning to get a be quiet dark rock pro 5 - is that a good enough cooler for the 7800x3d? I have a 360 AIO but it's years old and want something 'quieter'.

Hi.

Yes the dark rock is more than enough for the x3d CPU but there are cheaper alternatives like the thermalright phantom spirit or peerless assassin which are definitely worth a look.

Aio if you want a cleaner look .

I am using a corsair RM850x to power a 7950x and a 9070xt. I haven't had a single problem so far.

Yes very easily, the 7800x3d uses way under its rated wattage if i remember. Like 80 something watts typically

yeah for sure then. The 7950x uses a lot more power and the rm850x has been great with a 9070xt nitro+

Yeah 850W is more than enough. Even if you stress both to their max TDP - which if you're gaming the CPU will generally get nowhere near its max TDP.
