NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

I was supposed to get my Zotac 5090 tomorrow (Friday), got to my local DPD depot this morning, then status inexplicably updated to "Exception: Return to consignor has been requested". Seems to be going back to OCUK.

No idea why, it never left the depot as far as I can see. What a joke... been trying to get this card for months and snafu on the very last leg.

I was going to say maybe they found out it's missing some ROPs, but you are probably not in the mood for levity right now. :)

Hah. Meh... It's just a thing. Not worth worrying about as it's either a mistake or back to OCUK. Responsibility is not with me to resolved, in any case.

It's a curious thing to happen, I did see on a search this happens more often with mobile phones and satellite TV deliveries, but that's more to do with secondary credit checks, not the case here.

What's the verdict on the cable? Which cable would be ideal for it? The MSI one or the one supplied by the PSU?
You can have a look at 5090 show off thread for what cables people are using.

For me I cannot use the adaptor come with the card as my case only have little room between the card and side window.

I first use a corsair 2x8 pins to 12vhpwr cable but now using a cablemod 90 Degree 12VHPWR to 4x8pins cable.

You should undervolt that rather than putting 300 on the core. Also you can get a modded profile for afterburner if you google it, to do +3000 on the mem

I thought undervolting was just saving power? What are some good numbers for overclocking? I don't care about the power.

There is no cable, just cable adapter (12 pin to 4 x 8 pin). I'm using the cable that came with my PSU (NZXT C1200 ATX 3.1).

Yeah, read that as well - definitely not a payment issue. £2400 payment processed and cleared -- money's well and gone and with OCUK. Tracking says it was at the depot this morning, then sent back to Overclockers.

I've literally never seen anything like this before here in UK or US. In any case, not worried as I'm not the party that needs to figure this out: between OCUK and DPD and my funds are covered.

Undervolting basically reduces how much voltage the card consumes, which results in less heat, which then allows the card to boost for longer and work more efficiently. There is usually a sweet spot to find where it’s more efficient and you get a performance gain.

The 5080 scalping market is dead. More and more cards are in stock at retailers, scalped listings are asking in the £1,0xx price range.
Yup, and as I posted a few pages back, people don't seem to be making money scalping most 5090 models now, bar a few of the most sought-after variants.
