OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

May I ask what is wrong with these Reapers what the fault is? Just concerned if a few are coming back as to why as I need to feedback to Powercolor if there is a potential issue.
Morning. As above, dodgy fan bearings on two of my three fans I believe. At around 1500rpm the higher 'ringing' noise kicks in.

Yes we have 500 due so be plenty spare as only around 300 back orders so far.

Hi @Gibbo Ordered 9070XT Nitro+ with a 9800X3D Chip on Tuesday as showing in stock but still not had dispatch note.
Been waiting on the phone for 20mins but no answer. If the GPU cant be shipped can I still get the CPU?
Many thanks

can you test if you have VRM coil whine? don't use vsync, and try to get it output range of hz, 144-400hz. MInes bad
I haven't done extensive tests yet. I had to switch the PSU, and that took me all night. I managed to play only one round of CoD BO6, and I was impressed to see 150+ FPS at 4K—no FSR.

I didn't notice any coil whine, but it was 2 AM, and I was tired of working all day. On top of that, my desktop has some extra fans, so I may lower the RPM to I can pay attention to the GPU.
The only problem that annoyed me greatly was my monitor changing colour profiles every time I switched applications.
I hadn't that with my Previous RTX 2070 - I don't blame AMD Drivers/Adrenalin yet, as it could be Windows or some that crap Dell monitor app. I'll investigate and report later.

I’m travelling at moment so you’d need to check but the website will only allow you to order if items in stock so maybe warehouse just need to catch up or an issue with order in some way. So best to reach out to OcUK CS.

From reddit and other places it seems that there was a batch of bad bearings on some of the launch cards

after coming from green where everything work, team red has been a right ****, this reaper nearly drove me insane multiple windows reinstalls, gawd knows how many cable swap out, plus hours of constant swearing not forgetting 2 full rebuilds, it drove me round twist, black screens green screens, crash after crash, never really got to bottom of it, then it just decides to work day before it was coming back, been great last couple days. its a fussy card i reckon, but at £569 a bargain

Zero issues at all, although my previous GPU was AMD so when I did a driver uninstall, it doesn't matter that AMD GPU left over drivers/registry entries may still be hanging around.

just one of those things i guess, all of my 30yrs pc building knowledge was needed to tame the red beast, was determined it wasnt going to beat me. im content now, never had a faulty card in all those, so wasn't going to give up on it,lol

I just had a bit of a faff installing my pulse.
Had to disconnect all output points and only connect one hdmi to get it to show.

Only issue is the three PCI bracket fingers that go into my case, but that's a case issue not a GPU one...as I've had issues with that before on other GPUS's. There is a slit in the case , you have to get it right, if it hits the lip you won't be able to push it in..has to go in the slit.

Managed to snipe a 9070XT Sapphire Pulse elsewhere for £533 after using £86 worth of vouchers.

Looking at performance gains with the Nitro vs the Pulse there’s only 3fps in it once both overclocked (103 vs 100 fps). Not worth £100 odd premium for that?

Looking forward to it and an end to my coping with my 7800xt lmao.

Yes @Cosimo got it, a really annoying bearing sound, more noticable on mine at low speeds. I believe they are aware as I started by talking to them directly and I believe they asked OCUK to just go ahead and accept the RMA.

I also had issues with the 9070 XT reaper, I wasn't sure what the cause was but seeing the fan bearing posts I think it's the same issue. Fortunately OC CS helped me with a smooth return (thank you!)

Does anybody know if it's only the earlier batches that are effected? @Gibbo has OC received any information/feedback regarding the new batch that you'll get next week?
