Disappointing there's no OLED screen, they'll probably release a Pro version a year later with OLED and slightly higher clockspeeds.

I'd have thought it's only the US because they don't want to let people pre-order at $399 (or whatever the US price was meant to be) and then find out there's a massive tariff thrown into the mix that means it'll need to cost $599 (you know, so that the Made In USA version of the Switch 2 isn't at a disadvantage) and millions of unhappy Americans blame Nintendo when it all unravels into a horrible mess.

Mario Kart open world ffs why!?, this killed the Burnout franchise imo, so boring, I don't want to drive around an open world aimlessly, we want carefully curated tracks.

Its not really open world as I understand it and there are classic cups still.
Whilst there may be a classic mode, the main focus of the gameplay certainly seemed focused on the open world aspect, what with the way you drive yourself from race to race etc.

Wasn't the race to race part still linear though? I haven't watched a huge amount I must admit.
That's part of one game mode (Grand Prix i think), there's also a general free roam ability (which appears to be available as multiplayer online too)

John Lewis just opened up their pre-orders.
So yeah... I just put an order in at John Lewis for the MK bundle. Pay in 4, makes it feel not as bad. Sigh.. I really wasn't going to do it. But then I spent lunch watching the Digital Foundry roundup.

Probably not. A large portion of the stock is probably already in the US, or in transit and shipping paid for.
