It's a beautiful track, but it doesn't lead to good racing.

It really needs the weather to be fun. Either extreme hot or wet.

Or, less downforce. T1 being flat is frankly scary.

It feels like McLaren are keeping out the dirty air and waiting for Max to pit before pushing. It's all far too controlled so far.

Not enough DRS zones here to help them on their way, these cars are still rarely able to overtake without assistance during the lap

Race control - Turn 17 incident involving Sainz noted - leaving the track and gaining an advantage

Stroll comes out on fresh hard tyres in last place and can’t overtake Doohan on 19 lap old hard tyres.

There's no gaps for the leaders to drop into behind and no free space.

So they are all extending until the back markers pit and make space.
