Considering that for the most part there was little more than 3 seconds separation the front 3 that was an incredibly boring race!
Well, they probably thought they haven't been able to catch thus far so overcutting or undercutting might give them a shot - so obviously the only choice is to instead do nothing with both cars and follow Max home. They're so reactive to everything, why pit both drivers within a lap of each other and just follow Max for 53 laps?
Bit of a boring race really, great control from Max throughout but also highlights how sloppy McLaren are from a strategy side. They're so reactive to everything, why pit both drivers within a lap of each other and just follow Max for 53 laps?
Thought Antonelli was impressive once again, his lap times on the old medium at the end of the first stint were really consistent and pretty quick too.
That was dull.
Bearman is making Ocon look pretty average at this point.
After 5 minutes of the highlights we were moaning about Villeneuve, but actually he gave some good factoids I didn’t know. I can’t remember others, but like a higher downforce car requiring more fuel for example. There were a couple where we were like “oh that’s actually interesting”. He is a terrible commentator though and needs to stop talking over peopleJeez that was bad. I was bored watching it at 12x speed. Should be a new poll for who is worse, Norris or Villeneuve.
So nothing to do with a tyre strategy that didn't work because there was no safety car?Classic Ocon, isn't it? Follows up a superb fifth position in China with a thoroughly underwhelming showing here. Ocon has talent, and takes opportunities when they're there, but he totally lacks consistency... and sure does love to drive into his teammates.
