The Handmaid's Tale

Finished Season 3 the other day....it was redeemed by a really strong finish to a season that meandered too much first half.

It's a good series, but walks a very fine line where it's just too unremittingly grim for extended periods, you need to see these awful people face some consequences.

I hope they bring it to a resolution....I read somewhere that the showrunner is one of those "we'll do ten seasons if we can" types, so I hope it doesn't continue beyond it's sell by date. I'd be happy with a couple more seasons to wrap it up.

Elizabeth Moss is extraordinarily good in it.

Well the author is an Exec Producer on season 3 (not seen S4 yet) so there is hope she will stop it meandering to stupid levels. I prefer a show wraps while its still great (ie Ashes to Ashes / Life on Mars)

Nearly 4 year thread bump, last season of Torture Porn is back today. Serena vs June final showdown (unless they team up).

Predictions on how many close up shots there will be of June looking angrily at the camera?

Going to hold off until all the last season is out, get all the feelings out in one session hopefully.

I just hope they nail the landing knowing it's the final season.

Never watched, never will. Seems like something written by man hating feminist. It's very low on my list of things to watch, somewhere down there with the Snow White remake, She Hulk and The Rings of Power.

I thought the same but gave it a go and I was wrong (I actually thought it was a period drama at first!). I'm currently part way through S6. It lost its way a bit in the later seasons as most shows do. I thought S1-3 were pretty solid though. It's not a man hating show at all, in fact it's pretty much the total opposite.
