Yes they somehow win but they have been pretty poor this season. I actually think football on a whole might be at its lowest standard for many a year too.

Nah, you don't save those. If the player can bend it outside the post that far and then back again then you don't stop them. If you're in a position to stop that then you will have sacrificed a gap somewhere else.
