What cooling? You could try messing with the boost clock. At -20 CO and +50 boost i'll see over 905 and 17600, even without changing any other settings apart from using EXPO. And i've seen AIO's reach those scores with same settings. So maybe it's your temps or boost clock is set too high.
best I can do 899 17479 with +50 and -25 ccd0 ccd1 -20 240mm AIO expo on, temps max 79.6 (77.8 ccd0) (82.8 ccd1) 70.1 1.400v stable stress test for 30 mins

why single core so bad :(

what is your stock results?
Not sure I’ll check, but with my max PBO tune and CO applied I was scoring under 900 ST in CPUZ too. ECLK was needed on my sample to bring it up to speed for ST.

Playing around with ECLOCK and some negative all core CO.

105 ECLK + -20 CO CCD0 + -12 CO CCD1

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D @ 5550.18 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR

Geekbench 6
ASUS System Product Name - Geekbench
105 ECLK + -12 CO CCD0 + -4 CO CCD1

Here is stock, higher than i thought it would be on ST.
40l1EdT.png

CPU clock was around 5.675Ghz for ST.

Here is PBO disabled, but running -32 negative all core curve optimiser.
P06wHUT.png

CPU clock was around 5.715Ghz for ST.

Here is PBO enabled, -50 CCD0 and -32 CCD1, + x10 Scalar and power limits Motherboard.
B5L2Sml.png

CPU clock was around 5.815Ghz for ST.

Further refinements to EClock. 105 + some CO

However, for lower power draw and temps I run this for daily. PBO + CO -50 CCD0 and -30 CCD1.
Is that still with only +50 PBO? Why are you not using curve shaper?
Your stock scores are better than my overclocks

+200, go big or go home. Curve optimiser is more performant. I’m still figuring out Shaper, but it doesn’t seem to give me as noticeable gains.

Had mine running at -20 CO since release, I'm sure it can do more and have seen a lot of people run up to -30. Coming from a 7950x, I'm still amazed at how good the temps are. My 7950x used to run at -14 CO (pretty poor and all it would do) and even ran it at 105w ECO mode, I'd still regularly see it hit high 80's, even 90 sometimes under a 360mm AIO

Yet this at -20, no ECO mode, during gaming, it will usually sit around 68-70, I've seen it hit 75 a couple of times briefly but it will come back down again.

yes temps are all over the place

Hey,

Thinking about upgrading to this CPU.... I play a lot of games and also do a lot of development/infra work as well... some encoding too... would you guys recommend the CPU for my workload?

Stelly

With your usage yes best of both worlds.

Thanks, was thinking that, now just to think about a motherboard and RAM :D

Yes, it is the best CPU today, and the 'best of both worlds'. I am using a MSi Carbon which works well and used by reviewers. The equivalent ROG is probably a good option too.

I’m running -45,-33. I tried -50 but it wasn’t stable. I dropped lucky with mine, how many chips did you go through to find this one? I noticed you sold one on the MM.

That's pretty good. I had to lower some cores on CCD1 to like -30. However CCD0 is good at -48/-50. I've tried three in total so far, with this being the second. :)

-50 is fine on Prime,Intel Burn Test …. It’s just idle. I think Curve Shaper should help by setting the low end to -30, just haven’t had chance to play. My understanding is CO will apply until CS overrides.

I think you'll need positive curve shaper, just need to figure out which ones.
