What did you do to your bike today?

If you are happy with how you had it, put it back I say. If it's too tight it'll be not just stretching prematurely but potentially damaging sprocket bearings. At least that's what my teacher told me! And depending on the geo some bikes run what look like hilariously slack chains. T7 rings a bell.

Anyway if it does damage one way or the other it's better it was your fault and not theirs :p.

It'll be getting loosened off tomorrow... The most annoying thing is the condescending way the guy said he'd done me a favour. Almost tempted to take it back tomorrow and ask him if he's been to Specsavers recently

Wow, that is one tight chain.

Assuming it’s a bike place, and not a car garage that does bike MOTs on the side, then once I had the MOT cert in hand, I would be asking to speak to his boss.

Thankfully the nut holding my rear wheel on is such a git to get off (250Nm or thereabouts) I'm hoping nobody will even think of adjusting my chain when I get mine MOT'd next week!

I replaced the old front and rear rubber brake lines with braided HEL ones. I also stripped, cleaned and resealed the 6 pot Tokico calipers up the front (24 seals, what a ballache lol!), put a new set of seals on the master cylinder, removed the hugger and repaired sone cracks in it, then resprayed it, and then put it back. Replaced the worn out mc reservoir bracket with a new OEM one. Spent a while bleeding the brakes front and rear and she's now all good to go! Noice!

Bike is dying when bringing the clutch in after coming to a stop, idles and runs fine when just testing it in the garden though
Thought it was bad fuel but it's got a full tank of momentum and some decent injector cleaner in it and still seems to be doing it, although to make it more fun only seems to do it once it's been ridden for a bit and warmed up.

Half of me says just bang it up for £3k and let someone else deal with it, saves me paying out to renew insurance and tax. The other half is a tight **** and would rather I see what I can do so I can get closer to £4k :o

New AliExpress (absolutely genuine and not at all fake) can and crash bobbins arrived a week after ordering them..
Can £32, bobbins £20.

Absolutely no point in removing the cat now, as it's as loud as I want it to be (not quite asbo loud, but not far off).

Blows my mind you can get a whole exhaust from China for £30 lol, is it at least genuine CF? you couldn't even get the CF here for £30 :p

It certainly is CF, and the can is so light I don’t need a hanger to go with it.
The link pipe from the cat was £17.99 and the perfectly colour matched seat cowl was £17.49 inc delivery.
Got a screen protector, paddock stand bobbins and a darker windscreen/shield coming all for £19.82 delivered.
What’s not to like.

You'll probably find it lasts as well. I had a similar AliX full system on the MT-09. Stainless headers + Carbon can for £100. Very nicely made, fit perfectly and sounded great. The only bits that rotted were the springs that attached the can, but that cost pennies to fix and to be fair I've had non Chinese exhausts with the same problem.

As the Chinese mirrors weigh naff all, they are really buzzy over 3-4k, so I replaced the bar end 'weights' they came with, with proper ones from Evotech Performance - looking forward to giving them a proper test tomorrow

Will be interested to hear if they helped you - I found they made zero difference to my right bar end mirror on my street triple... Still vibrated above 60ish mph (though weirdly adding grip puppies has helped a bit).
