Started playing

Performance so much better than when I played on ps5. Getting 80-90fps 4k dlaa max setting

Much of a difference between it and the Ps5?
Prefer controlling it with KB and Mouse (although does in most parts make it easier) and prefer playing it in UW. Nothing really that changes the experience. Always played on performance on PS5 and still looked good to me.

Not exactly relevant to the PC version of the game but I recently bought a PS5 Pro and decided I'll actually start completing games. I've beaten Stellar Blade and TLOU so far. Right after I finished TLOU, I started Part II.

I love this game. Runs and looks amazing on the Pro and the game itself is honestly mind blowing. Much improved over the first instalment, TLOU was a very very good game but playing Part II, it makes the first game feel like it was meant to be a starter before the main course.

For me points out more what they could have done with TLOU remake. A screen for screen remaster could have been so much more.

I'm pottering around in Seattle and having quite a lot of fun but I just don't remember the first game being so ... directional? It feels like there's one route - and characters remind you of this constantly - GO HERE HEY SHOULD WE LOOK AT THAT THING THATS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE DISTANCE GOSH WHY DONT WE GO THERE COME ON ELLIE KEEP UP I JUST TOLD YOU TO GO THERE BECAUSE THE CUTSCENE EXPECTS IT - and it's a bit tiring. It's well done, don't get me wrong - the audio in particular is an absolute beast in this game so far, some of the framing is as you'd expect to see in a movie but it just really feels like go A > B > !drama! > A > B

Already completed the ps4 release on ps5 but I just played the first twenty minutes again on PC and was sucked right back in. Damn it looks insane on pc with an ultra wide oled display.

The drivers improves performance for all GPUs not just your 5080, so actually it's still behind the 4090

Read the comments, the biggest improvement is on 50xx especially for those who have overclocked (which the 50xx is a beast at, particularly the 5080), which isn't that surprising given it's the current gen of nvidia gpus, this will be nvidias priority now.

Also as per my OP, I am referring to this game, my oc 5080 was already ahead of mrks tuned 4090 and other 4090 gpus, on launch day, his video vs mine in the same spot, this is pretty consistent throughout our videos in the opening of the game:

So even if other nvidia gpus/4090 have gained extras perf, my oc 5080 is still ahead in this game and from reading comments, looks like this is translating to a variety of other games (more so for more recent games where the 50xx is pulling ahead compared to 40xx)

And what about 5090 users?

All gpus have seen some of an uplift but as per reddit etc. it looks like 50xx has the biggest gain, no surprise tbf given they were rushed out the door.

EDIT:

Very small increase, if any at all with the new driver on someone's 4070ti:

So yes, just further reinforcement, the biggest/main gains are on 50xx gpus.

Who really cares though when you're already well over 100fps in that game lol
But but but but..... epeen :p

Every little bit of extra performance when gaming on a 4k 240hz display is much needed though especially if enabling FG/MFG where a higher base fps aids in the experience

MFG bumders!

Here I am just fully enjoying GPU silence whilst locking to 100fps+ without a care in the world about other factors like vram and such :D
