Clarkson, Hammond and May are returning for new show on Amazon Prime

It is stated on the BBFC website that the show was produced back in 2024, and that the title will be a 'motoring comedy documentary series' - sound familiar?

In the first episode of the first season, titled 'The Glory and The Power', the synopsis reads: "In this episode, the team celebrate the combustion engine, with a look back at footage from past adventures and test drives."

Sounds like a nostalgia trip for everyone to enjoy.

For any doubters out there, it is also stated that the episode was directed by Phil Churchward, who also worked on Top Gear and The Grand Tour.

It is also stated that the cast consists of the trio, with no other names mentioned.

Amazon confirmed in a press release that we can expect The Not Very Grand Tour to be released on Friday 18 April.

If its not like the big trips in cars across the world id probs not watch as only really enjoyed the big trips with em. If its just about cars history or stuff like that ill skip even tho i like the trio but only on the big trips as i said.

In my younger days I never really was into Top gear but as I got older I really started to enjoy the show. The specials are truly wonderful.

There is a video on James' channel of him and Hammond having a look around the old Top Gear production office which is kind of cool.
Yeah spotted that on my YT feed. Watched it and is was quite cool. Missed Jeremy being involved I think but it was very nostalgic to see the office as we never really saw it during the TG days, from the inside at least on many occasions.

I don't know if anyone else has already thought this but i wonder by the title if it will be outtakes, mishaps and unseen footage that never made the edit?

I'll watch anything with those three in it, so I'll definitely be watching it
Same but at the same time it is really crushing to see how they've aged. Especially Clarkson. It then hits home how long most of us have been watching these guys over the decades.

I'm three years older than Clarkson so we've pretty much aged together

I did use to really like top gear, but as it went on it turned from a car show into more and more outlandish, pointless challenges and stunts. The show went from a car show to a series of skits that used cars as props.

Can't stand them anymore, especially clarkson. They long ago became charactetures (sp ?) of themselves. I guess most of their following is people of a certain age that want to hang on to times gone by. Which clearly there is an audience for that which is absolutely fine, but I'd be surprised if their audience profile has too many under 40s.

I looked up their ages and frankly I'm a bit surprised, I thought clarkson and May were closer to 70 than 60.

I think TG is still very popular with younger people, tangentially Clarkson's farm was a massive hit, and that wasn't on the back of a boomer only audience.

I'm 40 and still love Top Gear. I'm hopeful the BBC will bring it back but seems unlikely. I love The Grand Tour also, those three together doing anything and I will watch it, especially it being a car show.

He definitely hasn't aged well, that's what a life of smoking and drinking does to you. He's also got heart issues and nearly died of Pneumonia not that long ago.

Not even 30 years ago:

Not for me, no real new content and while I'll happily watch both presenters on a range of stuff this just wasn't very interesting.
