Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [19th - 23rd April 2025]

Stick Hojlund on for the last 20 until he can get some confidence back. Obi looks all around the better player from what little I have seen.
Exactly, just switch the order. I don’t see what persisting with Højlund is really going to do now. He’s clearly not working right this season. It’s basically like playing with 10 men. It’s a shame as I like his personality and used to think it was just the team, but, it’s getting a bit daft now.

Odegaard is so poor. Won't cross, won't shoot, pointless flicks and easy passes. His pressing is good still but he's so far off last seasons levels. Reckon Nwaneri could do a better job as a 10.

Would love to see Hojland in Training to see what his scoring is like.

I feel like for years now we have had a core issue with our training. Manager after manager has said players have been training really well and yet when it comes to match day they are junk. Either the managers are lying and trying to prop up their players confidence or we are so poor that the quality of competition our squad offers each other in training simply isn't good enough to replicate match day intensity or quality....

That wasn't even that good a freekick. Well inside the post, not a bad height.

I really do feel for Amorim. At some point you have to depend on your players to do things. Things like putting the ball in the net. Not missing great chances all game.

Aside from dramatic moments (like on Thursday night), this is pretty much our standard for the rest of the season. It's not going to get better with this set of players.

Absolutely huge summer ahead, are INEOS up to the job? I fear not...

Not sure that’s quite the case. The INEOS era signings haven’t really been all that bad compared to what’s come before. Zirkzee is an odd one, but I think he’ll come good with better players around him, but I’d say that’s about it for ‘bad’ INEOS signings.

Agreed. On another day we could’ve probably won this 3-0 if a bit more composure in front of goal.
