It's also a benchmark on how to do early access, such a great game and well deserved award
Yup, early accesses like this, Subnautica, Raft, Oxygen Not Included, Baldurs Gate 3 and so on, show that early access is not always the evil thing that some people make it out to be.

Just about to complete phase 5, took quite a break after over doing it after initial release. I'm a little shocked at how easy the final tier is to be completely honest, other than setting up a few of the new machines to produce the final parts I've had absolutely zero need to use anything else the tier offered and can't help but feel it all came way too late in the game when coupled with the apparent ease of the final (I'm going off what was said in one of the Coffee Stain streams about it being the final tier so could be very mistaken lmao...) tier. I'm sure it wont stop me playing with them and continuing to build stuff it just feels a little off in comparison to the rest of the game.

Still my game of the year by a massive amount though :D

I think after a bit over 300 hours I've got as far as I'm going to. It feels more like work than play to progress from here, so I don't think I'll be carrying to the final two tiers or trying out nuclear.

Great game, well worth the entry price. Now to decide whether I want to try out Factorio: Space Age...?

This is where I got too, too much of a chore, but brilliant getting there.

I found that breaking it down into chunks made it far more bearable, I still made some fairly large factories but with blueprints and smaller goals as part of the overall production plan it was far more enjoyable without being overwhelmed by the entirety of the task, life lesson there I am sure :D and once past tier 4 it becomes far easier.

Am I the only one who came in here expecting a discussion about game that’s have come out in alpha and been satisfactory ?
But that's exactly what this thread was before they launched 1.0 :p

1.1 is looking awesome it has to be said, so many great additions coming, will be sorely tempted to start a new playthrough :D

Indeed 1.1 looks incredible. Elevators will certainly change things as I tend to use a hypertube to get up huge vertical surfaces! Guess I may have to renew my nvidia now sub again since I play Satisfactory via streaming on my Mac.

The thread title really does need to be updated to reflect it's current release.

The latest 1.1 experimental update has broken one major option - invert mouse has completely disappeared from the options menu! Total game breaker as my brain can't cope with it not inverted :cry:. The consensus is that they broke it when adding controller support.

Thankfully there's a fix:

Go to %LocalAppData%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windows and open Input.ini

Paste in the following:

[/Script/Engine.InputSettings]
AxisConfig=(AxisKeyName="MouseX",AxisProperties=(DeadZone=0.000000,Sensitivity=0.034167,Exponent=1.000000,bInvert=False))
AxisConfig=(AxisKeyName="MouseY",AxisProperties=(DeadZone=0.000000,Sensitivity=0.034167,Exponent=1.000000,bInvert=True))

Thankfully it fixes it for me, otherwise I would have had to revert to 1.0 and do without all the great added features of 1.1. The updated blueprint mechanics (linking conveyors, train lines, pipes) and vertical nudge all make building things so much easier.

Great game all-in-all, I've got over 450 hours awesomely "sinked" and on Phase 5 now. Taking my time with it lol.

Contemplating picking up my save again and creating a new base on the other side of the map with all the new stuff.

Today's patch (1.1.0.1) reinstates that setting, apparently :)

Started giving this a proper go yesterday. Just finished the first phase of the space elevator, and I've done all the T2 upgrades.
Nothing is particularly efficient but it got me this far.
