You need to look at the board power draw not the GPU chip power drawSo im really confused here , absolutey everything is running as it should , avergae score on Steel Nomad , Cyberpunk running maxed at full 4K at 120 FPS and anything else i care to throw at it on full tilt.
However my 1000W Corsair RM1000E now connected via the 12V connector to 4X 8 PCI E cables to the PSU is showing a really low power draw ?
Though i might need a new PSU but looks like im good to go ! Any ideas ?

Why should anyone have to turn settings down?. The 5060 Ti 16GB has been proven to run all the way up to 4K just fine as it has the power to do so, the 8GB version is the exact same bloody chip, but it can't run properly due to the VRAM being far too low.
Yet some will still line up and defend Nvidia, makes you think why, when such a huge majority slam a GPU, they trundle along with their ifs and buts defence.Nvidia really have neglected the gaming space big time.
If your benchmark score is normal then it's drawing all the power it needs, but you could try HWiNFO to double check the maximum power draw is accurate. Personally I would swap the 4x8 Pin cables for the native 12vhpwr cable to tidy things up and reduce potential failure points. So im really confused here , absolutey everything is running as it should , avergae score on Steel Nomad , Cyberpunk running maxed at full 4K at 120 FPS and anything else i care to throw at it on full tilt.

Who on Earth is buying a £400 2025 GPU to play games from 5 years ago?Somebody might be mainly playing games from 5 years ago, where 8GB is enough and they want a card as fast as the 5060TI.
Who on Earth is buying a £400 2025 GPU to play games from 5 years ago?
The issue was not the crashing as I was aware of it. I saw one or two posts where people where implying this game would not run on a 8GB at 1080p at all and thats not the case.In this video they never test Ultra settings, they seem to be testing low settings, Ultra settings run at 90fps on the 16GB 5060ti and cause the game to crash on the 8gb 5060ti
If you want more evidence here is Daniel owen's video that shows the same thing - the game instantly crashes on a 8gb 4060ti
(snipped the vid for space)
Either this concept is lost on some people or it gets dismissed in bad faith. But isn't that why there is an option to turn settings down? So if your card cannot run it at full settings, you can turn down some graphics options to still enjoy the game?
I dont see an issue here though on this forum if one isnt 100% in on the hate train then some posters start throwing about childish accusations.I'm not saying the 5060ti 8GB/16GB are good cards and I'm not arguing about their value because all GPUs are over-priced at the moment, there is no good value card. Not even one!! I just think people are over reacting a tad, because if you wanna play max settings you don't buy the cheapest card in the stack. It's common sense, or at least it should be, that if you wanna play the latest games with maximum settings you need to buy a card further up and it's going to cost more. 8GB cards are starting to struggle, especially trying to run max settings, but that doesn't mean they don't have a place.
I purchased a used 3060ti in Dec 23 after waiting months for all the 8GB cards to crash in price now they where junk and obsolete had what people where saying was true my card should have tanked in price. I can sell it for the exact same money today.I see a lot of 8GB 3060's and 3070's selling on the MM... So there is obviously a market for 8GB cards. I also know quite a few people who play games roughly 5 years behind who again would not have issues with 8GB
The issue is the pricing, not the amount of vram being offered.
Nah that doesn't make sense. People who play World of Warcraft still use AGP 6800'sSomeone whose 5 year old card has just conked out and they don't want to buy 2nd hand in case that conks out too.
How about Nvidia launch just the 16gb model but for the price of the 8gb version, it’s only using a 180mm2 50 class chip so it’s not like it should cost above £300 anyway.Somebody might be mainly playing games from 5 years ago, where 8GB is enough and they want a card as fast as the 5060TI. Why should they spend extra for vram they won't be using?
Why should consumer choice be taken away? Just because it's not something you want, or the majority want, doesn't mean it's not right for somebody else.
That’s indicative of just how bad the new stuff has been.I purchased a used 3060ti in Dec 23 after waiting months for all the 8GB cards to crash in price now they where junk and obsolete had what people where saying was true my card should have tanked in price. I can sell it for the exact same money today.
Anyone defending the 8gb 5060ti needs to give their head a shake. It shouldn't exist.
Nvidia just cannot stop winning<--- Sarcasm

Yeah, I'm absolutely not defending the 5060 Ti 8GB here (the card shouldn't exist), but the customer you describe is real and I know a couple. They're the type who by some metrics would count as "hardcore PC gamers" because they spend a lot of time gaming on PC, but who also know very little about the hardware side and almost exclusively play one or two older games (Counter-Strike and League of Legends are the obvious ones, though Fortnite probably belongs there as well). Steam stats showing most users are playing games over 5 years old is a big market.Someone whose 5 year old card has just conked out and they don't want to buy 2nd hand in case that conks out too.
