Actually it's also getting a full new set of CSC7s on Sunday.
You will be very impressed

I've got them on the back already.. frustratingly they have about 4.5mm left but one has a puncture that's already been fixed twice and is losing 3/4psi every couple of days so something has to be done. You will be very impressed
It's nothing to do with xdrive for me, I always change in LR pairs and I was always going to have a 4x set when the time came. That's always the issue with xdrive & changing out odd tyres
Are you driving with stop-start enabled?Just got to work... the 440i decided that today is the day that the battery warning comes up and tells me to start the engine...
Eh.. I gtg to work hahaha.
Here's hoping it will start after work and I can get it charging over night.
Code it out ASAP, it does more damage than good. Are you driving with stop-start enabled?
No, I drive in Sport+ everywhere for the MPPSK Pops and bangs, like I stole it. Like a Yobbo. Are you driving with stop-start enabled?

Is this actually true? I've seen mixed opinions on it.Code it out ASAP, it does more damage than good.

Short-term no, long-term yes. The battery, starter motor and engine mounts all get more wear and tear.Is this actually true? I've seen mixed opinions on it.

You would be surprised how little development is done in the automotive world if things don't need changingAnd are all designed to cope with the additional wear and tear versus non-stop start components
BMW didn’t change anything in the S65 in 2011. So the main chain tensioner is argued to be too strong when fully tensioned on a warm engine when it stops and starts…And are all designed to cope with the additional wear and tear versus non-stop start components
It's the opposite, cars are engineered to fail after X amount of miles/time, they only have to survive the warranty period. And are all designed to cope with the additional wear and tear versus non-stop start components
R&D costs money meaning less revenue, no business will go for that. You would be surprised how little development is done in the automotive world if things don't need changing![]()
Yep, ecology is ruining cars and is affecting the reliability.. ehhBMW didn’t change anything in the S65 in 2011. So the main chain tensioner is argued to be too strong when fully tensioned on a warm engine when it stops and starts…
They did stick a AGM battery in though but still better to turn it off or code it out (free with a GTS gearbox map)
Stop start is purely for the NEDC of that era and I’d argue still has more issues in component life with it on than off. But brah.
