NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Yeah, that's been pretty readily available which is good to see. £700 over MSRP for that seems a bit madness to me. The other day the Suprim was available for the same price.
All I know about the vanguard it has 1 or 2 less heatpipes and has a my little pony figurine with it. I can't see it being that much diff. And if you a longterm suprim user then you would probably know that suprim bios is pretty much closed off power limit wise. A paltry 104%.

My cheap and cheerful gaming trio has 111% and my suprim liquid that was like less than that.

The Aorus Master was available for £2480 (very briefly), which would weigh on my mind if i paid £2,600 for a Vanguard or Suprim. Anyway, I don't want to pay that much for a 5090 so it's all a bit moot :D

I might get a few more into play. The Zotac looks interesting at decent price as far as 5090's go and feedback has been good for the most part even though I like to meme on them. I don;t think I could go for palit as even though are totally fine in the past I found the Palits to noisier. But you can;t complain at that price.

I would totally avoid the ventus as I have never had a good experience with a MSI ventus card. Pretty toasty and loud

It is tempting... Gibbo said OCUK are hoping to get a c.1,000 batch of 5090s in mid-May, targeting £2 - 2.1k. I assume it will be a Palit or Zotac card, but i'm just guessing. Maybe that will swing me. Then I will need to rush and buy an Antec Flux Pro case and C1500 PSU!
That reminds me I need a new case for another build. That's a nice looking case. It has been donkey years since I had an Antec case.

...not for long :D. Just about to fire up my D5 pump to see if I'm imagine the noise difference...
Ahh right so you do full watercooling setups? Never got into that. Came close a few times but never went all in so to speak. Although I would be tempted to do a Mora watercooling setup connected to one of those dinky SFF mitx cases for lulz

I always just pick the best airflow case. The Lian Li Lancool II mesh got great reviews in 2020 when I built my first gaming PC, however, it is rather too small for a 5090. Plus, I can upgrade to the big boi Artic LF III 420m AIO if I get the Flux Pro (because the 9800X3D needs even more cooling... said no one ever) :D

It not as bad as you think. I have done this. I went through OCUK. They ship it off to Poland. They 30 days to repair it or you get your money back if it was bought within a month . Mine arrived back on the 29th day. MSI Poland jsut gave me a brand new card as when it came back to me it was a brand new sealed unit. Still had coil whine though, lulz.

Funnily enough I had to Rma a suprim 5090 although a totally different issue to my suprim 4090 and within in the first few weeks...I am sure it a sign but I will be damned if I know what. :P

I don't find high end top tier cards any more reliable than budget range cards. I have had to RMA a Suprim top end card each generation and had to RMA Astal LC due to intermittent fan connector. I could have done it myself but it was under warranty anyways. I also had to RMA an Asus 3090 TI LC. Maybe I should just stick to air cooled cards.

If you are older you can join the grumpy old barstewards crew like me and others who hide behind a strict veil of anonymity. GERROF MAH BLOODY LAWN!!!!!
Oh dear! I know you waited ages for that Suprim 5090. What did you send it in for and how did it go?

Errrrrr....errrrr. I have the 9800x3d setup and a LF3 420mm, You could cool that cpu with handheld fans...

I have. They decided to get a CPU AIO for the new AM5 series build in November, then Air 5090, was too used to low fans I think, the tried 2 Astral AIOs but pump noise...so, probably make the effort and go back to full set up...
