The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

Is there any performance benefit to Samsung?
Doesn't appear to be. Hynix can hit 2800+, I've not seen anyone saying they've got higher in here with Samsung, in fact I don't see many of the Samsung memory owners stating their OCs, just temps which are super similar to the Hynix temps, not anywhere near as big difference as the article made out.

Whats the best Timespy graphics score anyone’s managed with a 9070XT pulse.

I seem to have hit a ceiling on game stable settings (+520 core, -90mv volt offset, 2756mhz fast timing on vram). Getting a graphics score on timespy of 31500. Stock is 29000ish.

PS vram is Samsung and temps max out at 80C during benchmarking and gaming. Seems I get artifacts when I push the vram above 2780mhz and lose fps due to ECC.

Trying to find out the age of the batches of the Nitro+ 9070 here at OCUK, if its this month then its very likely to have samsung gddr6, basically what im aming for.

And neojay there's no direct performance increase other than the much lower temps which may lead to being able to be OC'd further so has the potential to lead to better performance

I've got Hynix and get 2820 fast timings Mem and around 80 degs in gaming on my Nitro+. I've never seen artifacts but I do see an FPS drop off when pushed higher.
I haven't seen anyone with Samsung push past the Hynix figures so don't believe they overclock any better.
Ghost dog's post above with Samsung is actually slower than my Hynix and similar temps.
I've got the highest Timespy score with my CPU, intel 13700k, just over 34k GPU score, and I'm 2nd fastest in Steel Nomad with 80fps. So the Hynix doesn't hold a card back when overclocking.
I personally wouldn't worry what VRAM you get.

Have you tried memtest vulkan? My Hynix memory can't go past 2730 without artifacts.

I'm the same to be honest, My Hynix sits pretty comfortable at 2800 fast timings and fastest in Steel Nomad with a 5800X3D. I'm sure there is more in it but just been enjoying it to be honest. GPU temp sits between 38-42Deg, Highest I've seen my memory temps hit was around 72C so far.
Max UV in Steel Nomad I can go is around the -80-85 area before I get driver timeouts.

You've got cooler VRAM than me. 72 is very good for the Hynix.
My mate got a Nitro last week and it still had Hynix too.
I don't think I've seen anyone say they have a Nitro with Samsung yet. Maybe the Nitro's cooler is good enough so they've left them with Hynix.

It sat at around 68C for the majority of a 45 minute game, It was the very last few minutes when everything was getting a bit hectic on screen, It climbed to 72C. Perhaps the good memory temps is helping with the scores in Nomad etc.

what sort of undervolt are you running as its for GPU and also ram, so if you pushing you gpu core to say 3200mhz and trying to push the ram too to say 2800mhz you cant drop the voltage too much as the both pull of the same voltage scale

my ram will max out at 2860mhz but the core runs super low, the sweet spot for my card was -90mv core would boost to 3ghz annd ram at 2820mhz
(this is in bench marks)

i run 2800mhz ram and about the same on core with -75 for day to day

I'm using -70mV and -20% power.

What case do you have btw?
