Impressive quality for a phone snap!
That is lovely, they'll be chuffed.

Do you mind me asking where you got that done? Looks great quality.

Our little guy (the ginger and white tank) has just brought me another present. Yet another live field mouse that has disappeared behind furniture I can't easily move this time of night.

That is the fifth one in less than two months. Hopefully it will leave by itself if I leave the doors open in the morning before I go out.

Nah, it's gonna live rent free both in your house and your head! :p

So many of you have lost your darlings recently, so sad. I know exactly what you are going through as I lost two of mine within nine months of each other. That was four years ago and I still aren't over it. I am typing this with tears streaming down my face right now which is why I don't come in here very often as every time one of you loses a little darling it brings it rushing back and hits me all over again. I suppose I should see someone about it but people say it's just a cat to which I have to restrain myself from biting their head off. They are not just cat's, they are loved ones, family members and I would take cats over most humans anyday. I feel for you all who have lost your darlings.

Just five in a couple of months? My Abby when she was younger would bring that many home a day in the summer months, some dead but many very much alive. The number of times I have had to move furniture out of the way only to have the mouse/shrew/vole/bird go behind another is ridiculous. Now Ozzy and Cleo have taken over and mostly they are alive. Sometimes they get dropped on the front doormat, other times the top of the landing, usually at silly o'clock in the morning and I have to go stumbling around half asleep trying to catch the poor terrified creature. It's perfect for them here as we are surrounded by fields.

Today is Ozzy and Cleo's third birthday. I can't believe it's been three years already and they have grown from tiny balls of fur at 10 weeks old when we got them and rapidly grown into the 5.75kg and 6.5kg beasties they are today. They were a nightmare as kittens as the lady we got them from had very little interaction with them so they were a tad wild. I still have the scars on my legs from them clawing and climbing up me. Toys were destroyed rapidly, often the same day they got them!! Ozzy has got the murderkill stare off to a tee and when he gives you "the look" it's like he's staring right through you, it's quite unsettling. Currently Ozzy is doing his call of the wild thing that he seems to do every year when iot warms up. He stays out all the time and I am lucky to see him for ten minutes a day when he comes in for food, I worry about him all of the time. He hasn't gone fully "wild" yet as it seems to be every other day for some reason, it's different to what he was doing last year. Right now he's out somewhere again although I did see him at 02.40 this morning when he jumped on me in bed!! His sister Cleo is here next to me as always, I wish he was more like her. Anyway, some photo's.

The week before Ipicked them up, Cleo left Ozzy right.

@pastymuncher To be fair he has a lot of competition around here with both stray and owned cats, foxes and unfortunately rats (yaay urban chicken keepers :(). He has only just started stalking out more again after we lost our old girl just before Christmas).

Bot that I am complaining about his tally, he can keep it at zero if he likes :p. At least he hasn't brought in live birds like our girl did in her youth.

Also they are adorable.

Been a stressfull day today - Let Ronny out at about 8.30 - got some stuff ready to take to tip and Ronny was on front lawn - Came back around 12.15 and no Ronny - he is usually waiting - called him all afternoon - walked up road - walked up field -no sign
by now we are getting a bit stressfull - He has been under the weather for the last few weeks and we were thinking the worst.
6.00 a big meow at kitchen door and there he was looking at us saying give me some bloody food I am starving.
You have no idea what a relief it was to see him. He had a lot of kisses and cuddles.
Right load of softies we cat owned people.

Glad all turned out well in the end.

Should get a collar with a tracker in so if he wonders off again you know where he is lol

Get him a camera like Mr Kitters (my favourite YT channel! :P) so you can see where he goes. :D

I can tell you all he didn't go far today -Just kept to garden and next door.
As a tom he used to go all round the fields and along the lane but now he is 10-11 yrs old (he adopted us) he doesn't do that any more.
Could someone volunteer to pop round and put the collar around his neck.

Sweep went missing 3 nights ago. He's predominantly a house cat but goes in the garden and into the small back field out the back of us. Saw him at 9pm and he hasn't returned since. Been out looking for him, left litter tray and some worn clothes on the line to try and see if he picks up the scent but no joy it.

He was 10 this year and I've had him since he was 6 weeks :(
