The fringe players have done themselves no favours here and again Nunez has shown exactly why he cannot be our no.9 next season. Even though he is 33 next season, Endo has again shown why he still has a role to play for us, but the rest of the fringe might be worth more for us in transfer funds than in a red shirt.

Jota, Nunez, Jones Tsimikas, Quansah and Elliott were pretty poor

It's easy to criticise individuals but it's always hard to just throw in half a side and expect them to play well. The midfield for instance, not only have 2 of them barely featured much beyond a few cameo's all season but I'd guess they've never played as a 3 before. Expecting them to just rock up and play like a well oiled machine was somewhat optimistic.

Exactly why I backed Chelsea to win as soon as I saw the lineups. It rarely ever goes well when a manager makes that many changes.
