Summer Transfer Window 25/26 *Sponsored by Bigpig*

3 to 5 signings depending on what competition we end up in is being touted!!

Can’t see any of our stars getting sold unless completely bonkers offers come in.

Trafford, Guehi and the guy below should be the minimum:D

We'll sell Mbuemo this summer. Would be amazed if he stayed. 2 years left on contract, a ~20 goal season, we'll want to sign his replacement soon too.

Trent confirmed as leaving Liverpool. Been in the post for about a year and a half so no big surprise really. Not sure what Madrid have planned for him positionally or whether Valverde is going to do a lot of the heavy lifting on that side but there'll be a lot less general forgiveness for his defensive shortcomings in Spain.

I think everyone knew all along really, almost right from the start most people said they felt Salah and VVD would stay and Trent would go. Hope it works out for him and doesnt turn out to be a decision he regrets like some others who left the PL for Spanish shores. I would imagine the new Vice Captain will be either Salah or Mac Allister

Nah, hope he (mainly they) do terribly despite that being very unlikely.

Massive rat behaviour - take nothing away from how immense he was for us and we'll need to adjust our play now without him, not others who can play the position similarly (obviously defending better won't be a big ask)

The Madridista won't take any abject performances from him. They expect and demand greatness every game. A couple of bad games and they'll be on his back in a way he's never experienced before.

Shades of Coutinho here. If he stayed he'd have had a statue in his honour. Now he will just be another player to be used up and spat out by the Madrid machine. The league title? Expected and demanded. Managers have been sacked there for not delivering it. Champions League? Expected and demanded. Managers have been sacked for not even reaching the semi finals.

I hope he gets booed at the weekend. And Slot shouldn't play him as he won't give his all for fear of an injury before his move. Bradley is fit, let him play every game.

he isn’t a rat, don’t be one of them supporters
Total rat. Talked about captaining the team. Is leaving for nothing, taking a huge signing on bonus which will likely be 10 million+, maybe even close to the 29 million Madrid offered in January. How is he not a snake? He's going to be remembered like Owen and McManaman. An ex Liverpool player and that's it, not a club legend.

he's a local lad, he knows we basically operate on money coming in on players = money out on players. He's no better than Owen an McManaman (arguably worse than those 2 as they were in an era where we weren't competing for honors)

But he is, decision made a long time ago, weird taunting celebrations to the fans and ultimately the team that has stopped us having 8 European Cups (granted, he had a helping hand in the second one in his one moment to defend that tie) and running down the contract.
Also, an incredibly ***** and responsibility-shy vice captain

Wasn't a hard decision for him, or it was when he made it 3 years ago.

Another Owen

he has been with us since a kid, won everything possible with us.

If he wants to win elsewhere and experience a new culture in Spain or anywhere else good luck to him and all the best.

He doesn’t have to sign a new contract, isn’t on him he is going for free, we never paid for him either which many are keen to forget

I honestly can't believe so many people on here (and heard quite a few on talksport over the last few weeks too) are talking about him like that.

Tbh this is my take on it, knew how Liverpool operate and seen what was said about Macca and Owen doing the free transfer thing, talked about captaining the team and becoming a legend, will be remembered in the same light as them, at least Kane made sure Spurs got a fee for him.

Love the comments about it being Liverpool's fault his contract ran down, we have no idea how many contracts he's been offered (or not) in the background as they never disclose that information and rightly so, just hope he doesn't turn into a whinger like Bellingham has (must be something about being at Madrid with all their entitlement) who has now been sent off twice for moaning at the refs.

I think the issue is that fans are loyal to a club, but players are only loyal so far, even with Trent being at the club since being 6 years old. That's the thing, that as fans we can't get our heads around and forget it's not necessarily the same way for players.

After doing everything and experiencing everything, even the most ardent employee, which the players are, would get itchy feet and that's at the point where Trent is in his life. He has the opportunity for him and his family to go do something new, which essentially he's not done in 20 years. Yeah, it would have been great for him to sign a contract and still be sold, so we got a transfer fee of some sort, but from his perspective he wanted to ensure this move happens.

Time will tell, as the grass isn't always greener, but it's his choice and he's out of contract and not beholden to the club or the fans, no matter what they think.
