I saw that story, but he didn't mention how much screentime he would have had vs the original series (for which he was apparently paid $15 million)

I assumed he would be in it a lot less, since the mantle had already been passed to Kate Bishop at the end of that series.

Could be half the pay for half the work...
 
I can't be certain as it was only a quick read around the place, but I believe it was mentioned for the same amount of work (time). So it wasn't a matter of less to do and thus less pay offered. It was less pay but same screen time and stuff to do in series.

Or, more like "your name didn't carry the show as we expected and so we over paid you for your involvement in a show we thought having your name attached to would bring in more success. It didn't. You aren't worth as much as we thought. Here's you pay"

Good for him turning down 7.5 mil for about 8 months work? And you guys are cheering this as a win? Seems the guy has got successful and forgot that this is a stupid amount of money for that little work.

Er, you might have mistaken something from my post. As I was only putting out that having read from various sources at the time (not just here), that in the posts above mine (that you quoted) I was replying to - that it didn't appear to be about less work hence less pay. I never mentioned anything about that being good or not for them.

Nobody is saying it’s a “win” or anything at all. Just that it has happened.

Plus his net worth is rumoured to be $80m, he can turn down the $7.5m and wait for the next job. Or indeed not work at all.
