I installed Windows 11 Pro with a official UBS key and I already have a legit Pro key, but get this for updates???

(sorry for the image quality)..

Was it a version you put on the key a long time ago? If you run winver (or open system information) what Windows 11 version/build does it show?

As mentioned, whenever doing a clean install or new install of Windows make sure you have downloaded the latest ISO from Microsoft.

This will prevent you getting loads of updates and multiple restarts etc.

Thanks though! Was easy enough to get the latest from ms..

Yeah, they make it quite simple to get, even give you the option to burn it to a USB stick as well or you can use Rufus to remove certain things like needing a Microsoft account etc

Hmm…that’s handy not needing a ms account! Does this take away the four digit pin when you boot the computer up?

I hate not being able to load to desktop without the pin!

It allows you to create a local admin account, it also removes the system requirements as well
