Forgot about Aubamayang?Arsenal need a striker.
Think that's been said since RVP left.
If Arteta had wanted those signings enough, rather than another LB or defensively minded midfielder then you'd have got them.of course not, we went after sesko, he then decided to stay at red bull, we made an offer for watkins
cant say we havent been looking for a striker, its not artetas job to get the signing over the line

And on Watkins, Jamie Carragher very confidently claimed that he knew for a fact that Villa offered you him rather than you bid for him. I don't think Arteta wants an out and out number 9. He'd rather a Jesus or Havertz that offers other things. If he did then he'd have signed one rather than spend £100m odd on those two.

I'm not sure he's ever made such a claim before and definitely didn't sound like he was speculating. I've no reason to believe he was making it up and it would make sense. I'm sure Villa would have rather shifted Watkins instead of Duran if they were able to.baz really, your really quoting jamie carragher as knowing what happened
you've sunk to a new low

Havertz was 65 mil, still way too much but a long way from 100.I'm not sure he's ever made such a claim before and definitely didn't sound like he was speculating. But ignore the point that Arteta's spent £100m on his version of a number 9 and hide behind the director of football didn't sign the players for him
The £100m odd was Havertz and Jesus combined as I put in my earlier post.Havertz was 65 mil, still way too much but a long way from 100.
Hmm it's difficult to go and buy a decent striker. Which is why they cost the most money really. If Arteta had wanted those signings enough, rather than another LB or defensively minded midfielder then you'd have got them.

Can't expect people to read all of your waffle. The £100m odd was Havertz and Jesus combined as I put in my earlier post.
Arsenal have spent £100m odd on 2 players for that position. It's not by accident that you've not got an out and out number 9. It's been done by design whether supporters like or agree with that decision.
I don't even think it's because it's difficult to buy a striker. I think a fair few sides just don't want one. PSG are probably the best side in Europe and don't play with one. We've just won the League and don't play with one.Hmm it's difficult to go and buy a decent striker. Which is why they cost the most money really.
United have tried many times, more to do with the team though being a bit rubbish! However, I can't see anyone going out and saying "I'll have that one please".
Last time that happened imo was Drogba to Chelsea, and maybe RvP (short-lived, but did a job) and RvN to United.
Can't expect people to admit they were wrong. Can't expect people to read all of your waffle.
Donnarumma is World Class. Makes a huge difference to the whole team. One of those defeats I sort of just accept, Donnarumma save from Odegaard was genuine top class, as good as I've seen in an Arsenal match since Martinez save from Trent about 5 years ago, and Fabian goal was mint too. Imagine if Arsenal had scored that in first 10mins but he saved it, the sort of save that will be relished for a week or two but will be forgotten about by next season, yet is absolute elite tier stuff, I reckon very few keepers are saving that.
Arteta has built a great team. I know the "knives will be out". But they are in a great place, Arsenal. Will be rooting for inter in the final.
Questions will surely now be asked of arteta but realistically who else is out there?
Ok.Forgot about Aubamayang?
