OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

DPD driver with my card just went to the wrong building took a photo of the wrong address and left saying I wasn't in... I'm so sad. These cards are always just out of reach.
I'm building a new PC and the 9070XT is my last piece to arrive (coming tomorrow). Parcelforce didn't even attempt to deliver my case, saying I gave insufficient address details despite it being the full address that every other courier seems to do fine with.. It's sometimes hard to determine which courier is the worst lol.

is the Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC misreported on the Oveclockers product page for the card dimensions?

L=288 W=132 H=56 mm

L=339 W=136 H=59 mm

even my local evri driver is good atm but a lady in her own car

There's a review on hwcooling.net and they said it was smaller than the Pulse (have a picture of it), so I don't think it can be 339mm? It might have been copied from the Aorus model.

thankful to say DPD in my area are saints and I have it in hand now! roll on 16:00 when I'm done work and can start to build :)

"this good" compared to what though? it only looks good value because NVidia have been offering less and less in terms of performance improvement for more and more expense. Paying £650+ for a 7800 XT tier card is bad value whichever way you look at it even if compares well to the competition at the time.

5070Ti is basically overpriced due to NVidia monopoly and instead of AMD bringing back some sanity to pricing they've followed in NVidia's footsteps.
I think people forget that 4 years ago AMD were offering cards like the 6800 and 6800XT at these price ranges that offered better performance than the previous gen 2080ti/titan RTX and were even coming close to cards like the 3090, even 2 years ago they managed to put out 3080 performance for £500 and then the 7800XT wasn’t considered amazing by any stretch.

It's a complete rip-off, I only bought a 9070XT because with how people are talking about 9070XT being such great value I'm not so confident now that prices will drop to anything approaching sensible.

Say what you want about NVidia ripping people off but at least they spent extra to give their customers cutting edge GDDR7 memory. AMD opted for the cheaper memory and still have barely undercut NVidia.

Err, the customer is paying the privilege for fancy GDDR7, it's hardly NV championing the consumer. Don't really care what gen tech is in the device, it's the price to perf for me.

5070ti bandwidth 896.0 GB/s, 9070XT bandwidth 644.6 GB/s

What's the performance delta? 10-15%? Price delta? 10-15%?

I agree this gen is a rip from both

Memory bandwidth is irrelevant, or at least it only matters to its self, if a card achieves the same performance with a lower memory bandwidth (which the 9700 XT does) then the only way it is relevant is that the card with the higher memory bandwidth probably couldn't if it didn't.

AMD simply achieved their goal with older gen memory IC's.

Agree on the GDDR7 but the PCBs on most cards is trash tier, they will be saving big in that area.
