I think it was inevitable unless we scored early.
The big problem with this team is that they do not have the athleticism or ability on the ball to push up and pressure a team. Our counter press is hap hazard and so easy to play through and that's partly because Maguire, Lindelof, Ugarte and Casemiro do not have the recovery pace to get back if the ball is lofted long. As a result we sit back and invite teams on. It's a problem that ten Hag couldn't solve and now Amorim has given up on. I'm afraid that until you get rid of three of the above mentioned it won't be any better.

We've had them running backwards god knows how many times. A good side on the counter would have put 3-4 past this lot already. We are just **** when it comes to a final ball or a remotely good finish.

So why put him on his the most important match in the clubs history?

We are in a pickle where we need to win the final to stand any chance of getting European football. They need to get as many minutes as possible out of him because Shaw is a starter if he is at 100%.
