There undoubtedly will be a redesign at some point, but if it's anything like the OG Switch you'll be waiting at least 2-3 years.
 
Think I'll be keeping my pre order as mk9 looks great to me. It won't reduce in price anyway. Since the games are a bit thin I may get botw as I've not played the new Zeldas still.
 
I didn’t play my switch 1 much, but I’ve decided to give the switch 2 a go.
Do you think the switch 2 versions of games will be worth it?
I never played the Zelda’s so will pick them up at some point.

Yes. It will be nice to see them in higher resolution / faster frame rate. But I've finished both BotW and TotK and spent hundreds of hours in them so I've no real desire to start afresh despite the upgrades.

Yes, if it was within 12 months or so I'd be a little annoyed, 2-3 years though and I wouldn't be bothered.

Some of the videos, presuming they are genuine, of TOTK on switch 2 look better than I expected compared to the original. It really is a very noticeable jump, and not just in framerate and resolution it seems.

Sorry I might have been unclear. The Switch 1 console stutters a lot with BOTW/TOTK but it's not game breaking. If you overclock the Switch it improves significantly.

The Switch 1 game running on the Switch 2 without the upgrade is an unknown, it shouldn't stutter as the hardware is so much faster.

Yeh it will be interesting to see the switch 1 version running on switch 2.
 
I managed to get a pre-order in with Argos very early, but worried I am essentially paying a lot of money just for Mario Kart at this point.

A warning to others, it is currently impossible to Cancel my Argos order, so I am stuck with it at the moment. Not sure I have the will power to turn away the delivery when it arrives which seems my only option now.....
