I would say that’s it’s probably more of a
Transitional multiverse thing. Guy Gardner, maxwell lord and hawk girl are the characters from the new Gunn DCEU. So I think that a small amount of multiverse to go from the snyderverse to the gunn era will be fine and pretty funny.

I don't think that's it, from the small amount I've read, James Gunn wants to establish this is in his new DC universe, not Snyders old one

I don't even remember much of season 1, I won't bother watching this. Saw Cena pop up as Peacemaker briefly in Superman and remembered that this is all part of the same continuity now. They need some serious stuff, not more comedy.
