*** The Official OcUK Eurovision 2025 GD thread ***

Disappointed to see Norway's turd make it through but hard to say any of the eliminated songs were worse with the possible exception of Slovenia's entry which felt deeply inappropriate for Eurovision but was otherwise pretty moving.
 
The last time I remember us doing well was with Gina G in 1996, and she's Australian :p

But yes I always look forwards to the Eurovision final on a Saturday in mid-May. The production with the lights and under-lit dancefloor is amazing.

Yes, with the Canadian band Katrina and the Waves.

I remember being in a van full of people driving over the Polden Hills between Bridgwater and Street when the news came in that we’d won.

We stopped and went to a roadside pub & started punching the air and singing Walking On Sunshine as we entered.

The looks on the faces of all the old folks who were having a quiet evening meal….priceless :-)
 
They have some lovely ladies in Latvia apparently.

Edit - the song reminds me of the victory song from the end of The Phantom Menace. :D
