Greenlizard0 Premier League & FA Cup Final Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 20th May 2025]

It’s hard to sign a spine of a team in one summer though. Whose an elite goal keeper that’s available? Madrid have already signed Huijsen. Branthwaite maybe? Do you go for Wissa and Bbeumo?

Honestly it’s so tough because you have to get rid of at least 5 players too.
I think it's almost certain 9/10 will leave.
What's baffling is what ten Hag or Amorim see in a player like Mason Mount. I can't fathom where he sits in this system. He's half the player that Bruno Fernandes is in whatever position you play him. Between him and Hojlund we had nothing up front, added tot he fact that Cucurella pocketed Amad in the first half.

Defence is probably the only area where we don't need too many signings. We are desperate though for midfield and forwards

Didn’t see any of the games but they were probably the two easiest wins to pick this season. If you put your house on those results at the bookies you’d likely get a tenner back.

In Singapore for the game this weekend. Meeting up with the Singapore NUFC official supporters club at the penny black for the game. Went in last night for a recon pint. It’s as stereotypical as it gets for an expat bar in Asia. Bald white heads and big guts everywhere, not that I’m judging of course :D

I really wish this was the season they brought in that the three teams that came up were safe and the 3 above went down instead... :D

Well if the current trend continues then we’ll see the same thing next year and the prem being all but a closed shop. Maybe they should jazz it up a bit and have an extra relegation spot determined by play offs. They used to do this in the second division when I was a kid, the mighty Gillingham famously dragging Sunderland into the third division one hilarious year. Although on second thoughts, losing a game at Wembley is awful. Can’t imagine how bad losing one and being relegated at the same time would feel :D

Actually I reckon Leeds will do okay next season. They look pretty strong and are developing their stadium.

If Leeds played Man U tomorrow for instance I wouldn't fancy Man U. However, that is admittedly a low bar

Maybe. They finished the season only three points better off than Leicester did and they, like the other two, have looked out of place in the prem.

Leicester had change of managers.

That won't happen with Leeds (imo). I think they will do okay next season.

You've also described standard Newcastle fans there!

Nothing standard about me pal!!

To clarify, I was referring to the topless belly out whatever the weather fans that always get shown on TV. No offence intended.

Just call me a plastic Londoner and we're even!

Glory hunter etc!
