Indeed, and in a 3-way battle, that only give you a 33.33% chance to get the top points, so if you screw up a race, or have bad luck then gaining back the points in hard for the person who this happens to, especially if you finish down in 8-10th or worse.

I'm predicting that RBR are fighting for 5th place in the Constructors Championship come the final few races if Williams can keep up their progress
 
Actually ended up being quite an interesting race.

Chuffed for Hamilton. 4th was probably the absolute best he could have hoped for. The Ferrari at least looks quicker in race pace compared with qualy. Just a shame he got stuck behind Kimi for half the race.

Really not a bad result for Ferrari in the end to be honest.

The constructors standings are interesting.

There is a good chance Ferrari can get 2nd in the constructors courtesy of Lewis and Charles, even with the 4th fastest car/rubbish qualy pace.

Red Bull just can't get anyone to drive the car anywhere near as fast as Max, and though I think Kimi is good, he's going to get bad results and make mistakes as it's his first season. I think Russell will outscore him handily this year.

Lewis and Charles will pretty reliably score good points/finish quite close together in most races and that might well help them leapfrog Red Bull and Mercedes in the constructors.

Not a bad race in the end. Verstappen & VSC timing notwithstanding, there were some decent overtakes and battles. Shame Piastri was caught sleeping at the start, but hopefully the next few races will be good ones.

Also good result for Ferrari, esp Ham. Shame about LEC but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Or is it? checking...

Yuki is not making a great case for being an upgrade on Perez, is he? Hard on him with RB playing silly buggers with the drivers, but still.
 
Not a bad race...

Feel for Albon losing 4th place to Hamilton. But Williams up in 5th in the standings! I hope they continue to improve
 
It was a good overtake but it was largely down to the fact that Oscar braked really early. He's said so himself and you can see from the footage from George's car how early he (Oscar) braked.

It certainly wasn't one of the best overtakes ever as Ant said. Max was just taking advantage of Oscar chucking out the anchors early.
 
It was right thing to do as well, its a cool head from Piastri considering his experience in F1. Could easily have not wanted to give the position up and then found himself out the race.
 
Really enjoyed the race and great to see Lando have a strong weekend. The moves he made were superb and great race craft.

I didn't realise how close George was so I think Oscar covered as best he could. Probably hit the brakes a bit to early because you can see George drop back/caught by surprise.
