NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Be interesting if as suggested this is the way its going to be from now on, no cards in advance to reviewers so no day 1 reviews. Will people run out and panic buy quite so much if that's the case? Possibly, bit of a hassle getting refunds though if its turns out to be a turd.
Not for the lazy GPUs, the rest of us can see what should be decent cards by specs before they release.. but not the ones who don't look at such things and just buy based on previous experience.

MFG 5060 ......... Pc gamer who got blacklisted by nvidia said the FPS counter was high but games were borderline unplayable with massive stuttering

the MFG thing is a big passing fad if i have ever seen one, AI will still be needed to unlock more efficiency - cant be carrying around a 8 slot card in 2030 - but FG isnt the right strategy, its more like a band-aid till the real solution is implemented

If I'm reading the reviews right, there's a respectable uplift in pure raster performance from the 4060 to the 5060. However, in games that use more modern tech, things get a bit unpleasant, MFG can feel downright nasty and there is odd - possibly driver-related - hitching and stuttering.

those becnhmarks are looking fine unless theres been a big price bump between 4060 and 5060

It sucks for people wanting a budget upgrade to play modern games but this GPU is a strong upgrade for people who don't engage in 2025 releases such as league of legends, valorant etc.

I think people on this forum thinks the biggest games on PC don't exist for some reason.

its looking good in wukong as well, as long as ppl dont stray into 4k its looking fine
and intel's card is doing well in synthetic benchmarks, interesting (depending on price)

Yeah and still very few then play on 4k even on these forums.

I'm more interested in the actual difference between this and the ti because it's the same bits width and not much in it for the cuda cores.

If this was priced at 200 GBP then I think it's a good card.

Also a lot of the newer games are running ass in general.

Fair but if they aren't bothered by retail any more then they should just withdraw from that market, what they're doing is damaging to everyone involved in PC gaming.
Actually it could be seen as recycling. The EWaste from teh failed AI chips are being sold to retail, thus saving NV money by not binning them. How GREEN of them
