NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

The 5060 taken in isolation as a direct replacement for the 4060 at the same price is a better product, but it's still only where the 4060 should have been at release.

The problem is the 4060 is still available, and from £239 (£228.97 if you look hard), so even at £269 you are getting almost like for like price to performance. Would have been nice to see 12GB, or £249 maximum price.

Also who gives a stuff about Timmy, it's not little kids who want low end cards, it's a huge portion of the market.

You made Timmy cry.

More than the poor choice of low end graphics cards did.

Roll on the 9060XT but i don't think thats going to be the competition for the 5060. I assume it'll be a tier above in performance and certainly price.
So that leaves the 5060 competing with older low/mid range cards meaning Nvidia will probably once again corner that part of the market :/

Not really, as RTX 5060 have `launch` discounts and will be all over £300 by the end of the week - which is the price of the RX7700XT on OCUK right now

Probably true, I'm more thinking that the 9060XT isnt going to be £300 though, I'm thinking the £400 range for that

They did, but they're very performance/price orientated so I think the 9060 will be faster for sure but will be well over the £300 mark which, let's remember, is still a huge amount of money for a lot of people.

HUB says the 9060XT makes the 5060 DOA

Nothing is DOA for nVidia at the moment (apart from drivers :p) due to their mindshare. They would need to mess up for a few generations before their GPUs would be anywhere near being DOA in reality.

Which is where the 5060 will settle in after launch discoutns dried up - at least £320 for the 5060, which is where 7700XT can be bought at right now on OCUK
