UEFA Europa League Final Tottenham vs Man U ** spoilers ** [Wednesday 21st May 2025 @8pm] - "El Crápico"

100% agree with this.

Spurs for whatever reason annoyed the hell out of me since the Ginola days (guy is a knob lol).

So yeh, would much rather be playing foreign opposition!
im tempted to go on a long walk where i cant get a signal and just check the result in the morning.

Got the dentist this afternoon, possibly the second most painful thing today

My mother decided to fly today to visit me and I have to pick her up from the airport at half 6.

If I am hauling ass I can just about do it in 1 hour 40 minutes.

I really need a riot in Bilbao to delay the game prob 30 minutes and I will be grand.

You reckon people are tuning in to our games expecting anything but this? Come now Baz, lets be serious here. If you watch United at the moment and you aren't a United fan or a fan of the other team then you are doing it so you can laugh and come and wind United fans up.
Some of us (and I admit it may be a small number) watch football because we like sport in general and are not a "fan" of any club in particular. I will watch the final tonight - would I rather there were 2 more deserving and entertaining teams playing - yes but its still a final after all. On balance probably want Spurs to win, only because I prefer the underdog and did enjoy my night out there a couple of months ago,... (the hospitality not the football :D ) I do think some of you "fans" get so wrapped up in the traditional "hating" of other teams that you forget it is actually possible to watch and enjoy a football match as a neutral - for the sporting entertainment, rather than for the opportunity to spend a couple of hours screaming obscenities at opposing fans and players.

Footnote: Having said all that - of course I will point and laugh if Utd lose.

What a terrible attitude.
I did say it would be nice.

It's a European final. These don't come around often. I remember Ipswich winning the Uefa Cup and it was massive. Three trophies in three years. How many clubs would kill for that? Imagine we'd finished 7th in the league - would you feel better with that and no final. Iv'e derived almost zero pleasure from watching United this season but I'm stoked for this game and I think we will win. So what if we don't progress in the CL - I like three games a week. More games means more practice. Plus just think how cool it will be when 2 out of Chelsea, Toon, Villa or Forest miss out on the CL and we (crap as we are) are in the draw. Bring it on for the glory.

I think it allows the players to think the season was a success. I don't think losing to West Ham is a success.

The trophy would be nice but the bigger picture isn't a great one. Anyone thinking it is, unfortunately, is deluded.

Don't forget that Amorim is paying for staff to go tonight...

Whatever happens tonight a crime will be committed tonight in the fact that a team from the bottom 5 In the EPL qualifies for the champions league next year.
How is it a crime? They've done it fairly. Is it their fault if they're better than their opposition?

Can't see how this game will end up. utd giving us serious entertainment last few Euro games, not really watched any Spurs Euro game, so can't comment on that. No idea what to think, expect..... I just hope it lives up to the mega hype it has created.
