GTA 5 (V) Legacy Phone Glitch

I have looked up this online and found nothing. I have tried loads of things but nothing has worked. I have figured out when the problem happens.

If I accidentally press ` to open the cheat console (which has happened a few times as I get used to the controls), I can no longer open my cell phone again and, sometimes, can't even pause the game. I have tried restarting the game and restarting the computer but this doesn't solve the problem. I run this game via Steam. I have tried it via the Rockstar Games Launcher but the problem still happens. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. All of my hardware drivers are up to date. I use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

This is so frustrating especially as I am currently on a mission where I need to detonate something on the phone but I can't pull it out!

My computer specs are:

Intel Core i7 3770K CPU
16GB RAM
8192MB ATI Radeon RX 580 Series
Windows 10 Pro
931GB Samsung SSD 870 QVO 1TB (SATA (SSD))

[EDIT] Arrrgh I keep accidentally pressing it when I try to pause the game and it messes everything up. I can't find it in the key bind list so I can change it to something I never use or just get rid of it!

[EDIT] The problem does still happen even if I don't open the console but then I have found that if I open the console and enter a random string of digits and press 'OK' it starts working again. I just hope this doesn't accidentally activate a cheat and disable achievements.

[EDIT] Nope. The phone just randomly stops working even if I don't do anything.

Weird. I played both Legacy version years ago and now playing Enhanced version never had issue detonated bombs on the phone.

Which mission you had issue? I will look up for you.

I'm still early on. I'm on a Lester mission which I think is called Friend Request.

Yep that doesn't work frustratingly. Nor does the console open (not that I want it to but it's interesting to note). I have checked the cell phone key mapping and even tried changing it.

You will need to wait until the moment Jay pulled out his phone and you can finally pull Michael phone out to dial Jay number.

If cell phone key mapping still not worked then try reset keyboard mapping to default and try again.
 
It was fixed by doing the mission in first person. But then it messed up again when Michael's wife calls and I couldn't accept or deny. Very frustrating. I might just have to stick to another replay of rdr2.
 
If anyone else has this problem, the only fix I can suggest is this:

If you accidentally press '`' to bring up the console and then you cancel this, the phone will no longer appear (as well as other annoying things). The only way around this is to press 'OK' if the cheat console is accidentally opened.

Frustrating bug. I can't disable the key. I have looked everywhere and even tried some software that blocks certain keys but then this stops working when the game starts.
