I paid fully with Argos for my pre-order too - but used no points.
I also paid fully with EE for my other pre-order. £860 out of my account for 2 months before getting the goods.

Not as bad as the £2600 that was held for my RTX5090 pre-order though

And somehow even at those prices, they are still flying off the shelf, it’s insane.

No longer have a Switch 1, sold it last year, so it's pretty much start from scratch. Even more annoyingly Nintendo only keeps online saves for a short time without a subscription which is ridiculous, so it's going to be a full restart.

The funny thing is that at my age, I could actually afford to buy something like that. I just wouldn’t though. No disrespect towards those that do but not for me.

Oh, that sucks. I didn't know that. I'm going to get a year of NSO + Expansion pass on the 4th for £28. Should do me fine.

Will transfer, then sell the Switch 1. I've already whittled down all the games on internal storage to the bare minimum I require, so there won't be that much data to transfer over.

Actually just noticed they took full payment within 2 days of making the pre-order - I didn't use any Nectar points. Oh well, I'm £400 "better" off than I thought I was ... no imminent payment due ( other than the cost of the new Pro controller direct from Nintendo ).

Yeah same here I've got 2x ordered - 1x Amazon (had a load of credit so I think I'm due to pay £70) and an Argos one that they took immediately
 
Sorry maybe Im missing the point. When you say "will come over", are you refering to save games etc?
And why wont Mario Kart come over? I assume you mean MK8 Deluxe being of no interest to you and you will play the new MKW?

Correct. I’ll only install the games I want to play again. MK8 is being replaced by MKW.
