They should keep Monaco, but make the drivers race replicas from the 1950s. Full points and everything.

It would emphasise the "glamour" and "history" as well as add a lot more entertainment.

Could Hadjar potentially win here?! He's pitted twice and is comfortably in 7th place right now.

Edit: maybe not, didn't realise he was lapping so slowly since his second stop. Guess 50 laps on Hards is a big ask.
On paper, without incidents, he will only improve to 6th ahead of Alonso.

It’s a stark contrast when you see the classic F1 cars here. Modern F1 cars are just laughable around the track, they barely fit side by side. Sponsorship procession, nothing more.

Is there any way to make Monaco more interesting? This is such a bore fest.

Maybe we could have qualifying as normal, then on a Sunday have them race in karts or something?
The cars are simply too wide. It's not going to change anytime soon. It's a snore fest race purely kept for the glitz.

I have no idea why this has suddenly become such a common thing to say about the cars. Monaco wasn't famous for overtakes even in the 80s and 90s when the cars weren't this wide, it's just not a track designed for comfortable overtaking.

Overtakes were always rare, but they used to be possible.

I remember being sat with my dad and watching Senna hold Mansell off for 20 laps without Mansell ever being able to make an overtake.

I love Monaco, I think it justifies being on the calendar much more than another race in the US or Middle East.
