That's totally nuts. People being led into thinking £1880 for a gpu is a bargain.

Eh, companies who want their own self hosted AI system wouldn’t care if it was £3000 if it can run a large enough AI model.

My work has 2 AI systems - both with RTX 4090 cards and I’m sure they will upgrade those down the road.

Intels new enterprise GPUs look like they will be good enough for self hosted AI systems and possibly more scalable than a 5090.

Already sold my 3090FE in under an hour so it's "only" going to have cost me £1500ish

Is the fe 5090 any good? I read it was loud hence was looking at the zotac.

I will let you know when I install it. I sit in a 2x2 home office with hard wooden flooring and it's right next to my feet.
Case is a little Meshify C with a rear exhaust and 2x front fans along with a 2 fan BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro with a 4090FE at the moment and the only time I even hear the system is when the CPU cooler spools right up when I'm batch processing photos.
But I can touch the top front of the mesh panel with my left hand without taking my back off the seat, that's how close it is to me.
If I throw this 5090 in and it makes a noticeable difference, I will feed that back.

I did read it's desirable as it's a 2 slot design so will fit sf pcs
