Thats been Doom since day one. Its always run, shoot monsters, reach the end. Id say theres a little more depth to the storylines on the later versions, but thats all Doom is still.Just had a quick go this morning thanks to gamepass. It looks nice and all but Doom seems to be the same every time. Sprint around shooting monsters, rinse and repeat. Which whilst fun for a short time, I don't know how anyone could pay £50-£70 for this.
Only true Doom fans like and appreciate the game style.
I couldnt speak for the price as i play it via xbox game pass, though only on xbox as i dont have a pc with RT gpu and have only done a couple missions, but i havent completed a Doom game since the original pixel ones, however i wouldnt pay 50-70 for any game unless i really needed to. Personal preferences really.

Could do but perf impact plus it's not proper HDR then.
That is true for some games but not this one afaik. The only issue is the black floor.
I was seeing a lot of blown highlights with HDR last night, in the parts where you take down those ships with your dragon. So much so I had to turn HDR off because any adjustments to correct the exposure would ruin the image quality elsewhere.
These are the situations where RTX HDR beats the native implementation in some titles.
It won't blow out the highlights and tends to not raise the black floor as long as it's setup correctly.
Unfortunately with Nvidia's **** drivers it's broken at the moment when used with G-Sync so you have to pick RTX HDR or G-Sync.
It used to be fine, but the last few drivers have broken it and nothing, including DDU, will fix it

Once they finally stabilised their drivers after 50 series release it all mysteriously stopped. Got to chapter 8 now, it’s improved, getting extra guns is nice but mostly still have to use shield regardless.
I’ve been looking around maps still missed few secrets etc but they don’t actually add much not even lore so not an incentive to be arsed getting them really
