*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

I somehow missed playing any Zelda game on the OG Switch.

Any recommendations for first one to go for?
None of them, they are boring as ****.

But if you must BOTW.

I'll get my coat now before I get lynched for spouting such heracy.

In other news, I had an email from Smyths to say payments will be taken from Saturday.

Not a unique take by far, especially on the last two 3d ones!

Pretty unusual take, but very interested to hear why you feel that way !

Folks, for people who ordered on the Nintendo website, can you check if you can track your order despite no money is taken? I cant see any money taken but I can press track delivery and it shows me that royal mail has collected the delivery.

Doesnt make sense.
Everything's getting picked up for delivery on June 4 for delivery the next day.

I feel the same way. I don't have the time I used to have so I prefer the more linear Zelda's like Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
I found with BOTW I could sometimes play for a couple of hours and have done pretty much nothing to move the story forward.

Some open world games I don't mind sinking hours into, like Witcher 3 and Stalker 2. But Zelda just left me wishing it was more like the older titles.

This, the game just felt empty to me and it also ran like a dog on the OG switch, can't say I'll evert revisit it despite still owning the cart.

Strangely I loved BOTW but not the second one, but I think I would've enjoyed the second if BOTW didn't exist. The second just felt like a mod to me, or a DLC of somesort.

I wonder if the second is actually better than the first, but they're just too similar.

Yeah I'm the same, played soo much BotW that the sequel felt too similar even though if it came first, it would probably be considered the better game

I do intend on retrying TotK on S2, didn't get far. Wasn't overly keen on the building aspects as I'm just not creative enough :D

I do personally prefer BotW for being a bit more focused in it's design, but think TotK is the better game overall and I was still hooked until the end.

The only Switch 1 game I haven't played that I might pick up is Splatoon 3, especially if they fix/improve the input delay issue that 2 & 3 have on Switch 1. The first Splatoon on WiiU was much more responsive.

Surprised to see that there’s still a chance to get one so I’ve thrown a preorder in. I wasn’t going to get one right away as I wanted some decent games to be available so I may cancel the preorder, but at least I have the option.

Damn it, I hate shiny new toy syndrome sometimes. Completely skips all rational thought process.
