Bamboo A1 for a newcomer?

Darn my fat fingered typing! A typo indeed. Ended up buying an A1 mini in the current sale. I think I'll stop at 3.
It’s already been said but Bambu printers are basically built for people who just want to print stuff first and foremost. Very simple and very much plug and play.
You can also ‘go deep’ if you really want to.
The ‘rage’ the internet has over Bambu is going well over and above what is warranted, particularly for a typical end customer who these printers are aimed at.

there is two kind of people that 3d print..
- the ones that just want to print (get a bambu)
- the ones that want to know their device, thinker with it etc (definitely do not get a bambu)
its a good printer and it is one of the most turn key solutions nowadays .. but the ecosystem is locked so not much you can change or upgrade
but do not listen to me.. i am the other group.. i build my 3 vorons myself

Close to buying a P1S+AMS here as I use the same combo and work and by god its fantastic compared to my older Flashforge Guider 2's. After 4 months I've yet to have a single issue. Biggest headache is finding space for it in my small living room.
If it was me, and the wallet allowed, I'd probably get a decent 2nd hand printer to speed up the learning curve of getting to know the intricacies of 3d printing/slicing and what makes a good print with 3d modelling.
First you get modelling - Tinkercad seem to be the most popular free option, then you right away print the model you wanted. Watch YT tutorials, rinse and repeat.
If you have any technical background at all, learning to 3d model will be easy - same with printing - its all fairly logical., but some slicers have overwhelming number of options. The benefit is that for the home enthusiast market, there has been a ton of people who did the experiments for you and now share the knowledge so you can get good if not really good results very quickly by just using their settings.

I have just bought an A1 and AMS Lite and its a great bit of kit.. I am certainly a noobie but i have now done a couple of prints, admittedly from pre done models. I will dip my toe into modelling/modifying in the future.

Highly recommend A1 and A1 mini for cost conscious entry printers. P1S leader of the pack IMO for next tier up - huge amount more for not a huge amount more cash.
If I didn't know better, there'd be a P2S on the way, hence it's got the heaviest discounts at the moment...

I've just bought a table to mount my future P1S onto!Our work P1S is used so heavily that my old Flashforge Guider II doesn't even get a look in.

Would love something a bit bigger but I just simply don’t have the space for it
Grabbed two rolls of PLA Matte to get started, already saved a load of things like poop baskets etc.
Can anyone recommend any other “essential” tools? Be it either to print or to buy

You'll want to grab the Bambu scraper (search should find it) as your printer will come with blades. The scraper is the best I've used in ages imo.Pulled the trigger on an A1 mini myself over the weekend!

Try to resist printing those 'parts' boxes for things like hotends, glues etc. They take a TON of filament and you're better off storing them in gridfinity style boxes if you can. PTFE Tube removing tools are always useful.
